Eli Wright and Raekwon Long both picked up offers from NKU today at their elite camp.

 

Heard Ethan Snapp and Braxton Beverly both looked good today as well.

 

VonHandorf didn't play much due to injuring his hip.

Mr. Long although listed at 7 1 plays much smaller and has the energy and motor of a moped. Not too impressive today at all.

 

Drew McDonald from NCC had some nice scoring spurts despite being paired with the point guard from Moore who really had an awful day. He is only listed as a (2017 graduation year) freshman and I would imagine he is a quality player but just in over his head with bigger stronger players.

I was there for the whole camp and have to contradict some of what you say.

 

Keep in mind this is only my perspective:

Long got easily frustrated and didn't play particularly well, but at the end of the day, he's 7 foot and only a sophomore. They were wise to offer.

 

Eli Wright is an absolute stud. He has high major ability but must get stronger. He's young so that will come.

 

Ethan Snapp got physically dominated in the close out/box out drills I was watching the whole time. He's rail thin, even for a soph.

 

Beverly is as solid as ever and did well. He's more of the prototype floor general. He didn't really stand out like he would in a structured system.

 

The best team there was Beverly, Long, Wright, Skyler Hunter, and a kid from Illinois. They played well and looked even better before Long got tired.

 

Contrary to what another guy said, Day Day Sloan looked great in drill work. He has a ton of flash to his game and was scoring against 6'8 guys in drills by using really good ball fakes. Not sure what uselessinfo was watching to say he had a bad day.

 

Aric Holman did well and left with an offer also. He's only about 6'7 (listed 6'9) but he's very long and solid around the rim. He hit a couple of threes also.

 

AJ Youngman (2017) was there but didn't play due to injury and was offered

 

I was very impressed by the efficiency the camp was run with and how personable the coaches were with the kids. I liked what I saw from NKU and have already talked to Coach Bezold about coming back to watch practices this year.

Does anybody have a count on how many offers NKU has extended? I know they all won't be taken, but it feels like they hand them out like election flyers on parade day? Seems like they have offered a lot to underclassman?
