I am taking this one in and wanted to know if anyone thinks it will be a good game.

 

Either way I am going.

 

I like taking a game in at Greenup, plus it will be my first time seeing Lewis County play.

 

I plan on doing a game report for this one, like I did the last time I made the drive to take in a Greenup County home game.

Greenup has been down for several years and will be trying to get their first win since October 22nd, 2010. They have improved their numbers and made some position changes in a hope of improvement. Lewis is coming off of what is probably their best season in school history. Last year was the first time Lewis County has beaten Russell in school history. Lewis County has the majority of their team back.

 

Will it be a good game? I think it will be a good game of teams that are pretty evenly matched. I will expect Lewis County to get the win, with what they have back.

Plus, the next day you get the see the Rams play East Carter. The Ram Reunion is that day as well, with the first inductee class into the Ram Football Hall of Fame. I think you will have a great weekend.

This will definitely set the tone for the year for both teams. There is little room for error for both teams.

Greenup did some good things at our 7 on 7 this past weekend. They are starting a new QB who looked good. They were also hit hard last season with injuries and had one of those injured players back this past weekend, and are expecting the other one back soon. I think the Greenup/Lewis game will be a good game, too close to call for sure though.

Yes, GC looked pretty good at the 7 0n 7 this past weekend. They were minus both backs, Lawson and Williams. Both will be healthy and available for the season but haven't been released from their surgeries as of today. I watched Lawson compete at Ironton's Combine and he looks very healthy, just not released to contact yet. I haven't seen Williams yet but I am hearing positive reports on his shoulder surgery recovery. If GC can stay healthy and with an easier non-district schedule, they should put some "W's" on the board.
