1.) Zane Beehn 2.) Antwuan Floyd 3.) Micheal Hanley

If any mod can fix the title of this thread to match the others I'd apreciatte it.

Hunter Biven has to be #1 on any list of Apollo players. He played on some very bad teams, but nobody in Apollo history had the offers he had to every major conference school in the country.

1. Hunter Biven

2. Zane Beehn

3. Antwaun Floyd

Bivins and his brother were both really good. I just think they didn't impct the games the way the other kids did. Mike Hanley rushed for over 400 yards in a game. Had an offer from Michigan if I'm not mistaken. Ended up starting corner for Indiana as a FR.

I've watched a lot of Apollo games over the years, and IMO Michael Hanley is the best player to ever play for the Eagles and it isn't even close. He was dominate on offense, defense, and special teams. He played QB, RB, DB, KR, wherever he was needed and excelled at every position he played. He played one year at IU and then ended up finishing his career at Murray St. I think academics limited his choices in college, but he was a special player.

Zane Beehn was a great DL player and was good at RB more so for his size than running ability. After playing for UK he spent about a minute with the San Diego Charges.

Antwan Floyd got limited carries is FR year due to Beehn, and if I recall correctly he injured his knee during the SO season. While still a great RB, he never was quite the same after the knee injury. That being said he went on to lead WKU is rushing three straight years, and is fourth all time for rushing yards. I really think he would have been special without the knee issue.

I hope that I turn out to be wrong, but I've just not been that impressed with Hunter Bivin the games that I have seen him play. I'll admit I've seen less of him that the other three, but I just don't see how he is going to do well at Notre Dame. The kid from OCath who is going to Arkansas St, whose name escapes me at the moment, seem to get the better of him each time they went head to head.

Irish Cat good post. I agree with you about Floyd. Had he never torn his knee up he would've been one of the all time greats to come out of the state IMO. Despite that he still had an outstanding career at WKU. Even after reinjuring his knee while on the Hill. As far as Bivin....I really hope he does well at ND. I doubt all the coaches that offered missed on this kid. But he just didn't really stand out at an All American level at Apollo IMO. And yes he did get outplayed by Logan Cart of Oboro Catholic.
