Top 10 Players in 9th Region

Featured Replies

Well we've debated the way the voting takes place. We've (me) complained about players left off the team.

So let's state opinions here.

Name your top players IN ORDER.

1. Smith (gets nod due to ability to pitch well)

2. Moran (best hitter I've seen in NKY in quite some time)

3. Knotts (all around effectiveness)

after that I can go a lot of different ways but those 3 stand out to me.

Who ya got?

Impossible to compare to position players but I will do my best.

Please note I am not using any stats just going off what I have seen so I won't have any Cooper or Dixie players.

The thread says top 10 players not most valuable bc mine would be different if that was the case.

1. Madyson Moran, bc she's my daughter why wouldnt have her number 1!!...one of the few players in Nky to get a D1 ride and one of the very few in the state to get 100% athletic..will be right up there at the top or near the top in state history for most offensive records playing many less games than most and her defense is where she really earned her scholarship. I could go on and on!

2. Haylee Smith, the best pitcher in the area but also would be right at the top if she didn't pitch.

3. Laura Finke, games I have seen she has been a real force on both offense and defense for NDA.

4. Grace Herrman, great defensive catcher and all around players. Does well hitting and runs bases well.

5. Noelle Butts, if it was most valuable she would be 1 or 2 along with Smith. Pitches, hits and is a hard worker.

6. Casey Kohls, love her game and engery

7. Dallis Knotts, maybe a little low for her but can't have everyone in top 3..all around good player and finally got Boone into the region.

8. Tie Ali Crupper and E. Simms both of their teams would really struggle if they both weren't as good as they are.

9. NCC catcher, ton of energy and hits the ball well.

10. 3 way tie...Beechwoods center fielder, only game changing outfielder I have seen this year. Sheby Grayball, should be higher but hasn't hit her best in games I have seen...going to have huge numbers if she stays healthy and teams pitch to her. Bailey Spencer has a chance to be one of the top pitchers in the area.

Keep in mind I have seen some teams more than others.

Too hard for me to rank in order. I would add Sidney Himes to the list of players. I like speed in this game that can pressure defenses. Her and Dallis run with speed and can force the issue. They can create runs with their feet and aggressive style. I haven't seen Snellbaker in a while but apparently she is hitting very well.

Soph. 2nd baseman Casey Kohls "flatout" gets it done. NewCath's leading hitter for the 2nd straight year, and on "D" 58 putouts, 44 assist, & 7 errors, she definitely sees alot of action at 2nd.

Soph. Kristen Schreiber, has a "rocket launcher" for an arm.

There is no doubt in my mind Moran and Smith should be on the first team but which 2 do you take off? Only the coaches that voted know why Smith was absent from the 1st team and Moran not even being an option was not the coaches that voted fault.

Jessica Koors - Cooper

Dallis Knotts - Boone Co.

Ali Crupper - Ryle

McKell Oliverio - Ryle

Elizabeth Sims - Conner

Kennedy Baugh - Simon Kenton

Mary Beth Odom - Dixie

Shelby Graybill - Highlands

Casey Kohls - Newport Catholic

Player of the Year: Noelle Butts - St. Henry

So which two aren't deserving because of the small minds of some coaches or whatever reason from HC's coach for not nominating Moran?

Good luck with this, I won't even touch this with a 10 foot pole.

Clyde asked for 9th region and that's why she isn't on my list but Erica Lang for SK has a REAL good agruement about being on the first team also. I would place her there over several girls on the list (and no I am not naming them!)

I agree 100% about not touching with a 10 ft pole. I never got to see SK play but I have seen Kennedy in summer ball and know she can play.

My goal was not to simply name a bunch of good players. There are a lot. I'm looking for an answer like JMU game. List 10 players IN ORDER.

Yes I didn't have Himes on list and she forsure deserves to be...
