With no other coaches involved in the current softball program, who are the likely candidates to apply? Should the rumors be true that current staff isn't returning.....

Maybe the rumors are not true and Ryle wants to continue to have a solid program.

Didn't Ryle have a solid program before the current coaching staff? What would you make you think they wouldn't?

Maybe.....time will tell.

And I would certainly hope Ryle wants to have a solid program, that's the ultimate goal of all athletic programs, isn't it?

Since they announced it tonight after they lost, guess it wasn't a rumor!!

Rumors are verified, announced tonight! Can't wait to see who gets to turn that program around into something positive and worth being a part of now!

Turn the program around? I know that several girls were crying after the game. Not because they lost but because they lost a coach they believed in. Those that did not want to be a part of the program have left. Also, Ali Crupper pitched an amazing game and should be very proud. No doubt best pitcher at Ryle last two years. Great job Ali!

Turn the program around really? What world are you living in?? They have been to state the last three years. Hats off to Connor they played a great game tonight. CONGRATS to Ryle on a good season and Patty and Steve on a great run!!

Hmmm first off I don't believe anyone said anything about Ali's pitching, so let's not try to make this out to be sour grapes that has anything to do with a Ryle player. But yes, congratulations to her, she is a fantastic pitcher and an even better young lady!!! And you may think the dig about best pitcher hurts, it really doesn't. Makes me laugh at people like you & know that karma will bite you just as it has the Oliverios.

And how many girls were crying? I heard it was more like a couple & was the kids of the parents that were all in....could it be obligatory cries?? Guess no one will TRULY ever know. Take a poll of the entire team, now that they are gone I bet the truth is told!

Maybe you should have read my post. I never said a bad thing about anyone and offered congrats to Ali which I fell she deserves. This was not a dig on anyone.

I did re-read your post and can't seem to agree with you. The cries may have been relief. The girls that left the program lost faith in it and its supposed leadership. I believe a new coach is going to pull players out that didn't want to deal with the now former coaching staff and tryouts will probably be what tryouts were meant to be and not some event to fill a roster! As for Ali and the past two years, well she's all they had pitching because the former coaches took the opportunity away from Smith and used her talent as a defensive player somewhere else. She can't be everywhere!

You feed your line about not being a dig to anyone that will listen & slow enough to actually buy it. However, with multiple posts re my daughters pitching performance and moving to ND to pitch and then this last little quip, I find it as a pathetic dig at a teenage girl. If that makes you feel better about yourself, make sure you aren't a candidate for the open coaching position. I'm sure most of the parents want a positive change and not a repeat!

Again maybe you should read my entire post and not pick out the small pieces that you might not agree with. In my opinion Ali crupper was the better choice at pitching. Also I made reference that without question your kid is a great player and makes ND a stronger team. I also feel that Hailey playing SS gave Ryle the best opportunity to win. And yes she played that position great as expected. So again in my opinion on Ali being the better option at the pitching position, no apology here.

127-56 (.694%) playing the most competitive schedule in all NKY and 3 9th Region Titles, that's getting it done. Also, it doesn't hurt when you have (had) some of the better players in NKY on these teams, these young ladies deserve the credit as well. Congrats to all.

I don't recall asking for an apology, just as I won't offer you one for saying I still don't buy the explanation.
