Congrats to Shelby Graybill she is number one in hitting for teams listed in the state. Side note UK has one recruit for the 2013 class from KY that I am aware of, she is Breanne (Buzz) Ray and she comes in at number 16.

JMU -- Katie hit about 590-595 her freshman year, about 550 as soph , but only around 400-425 this year . . I know stats are only as good as the person keeping them so there are tons of bias's that can come into play but I wasnt keeping book or even near it any of these years .. this year we have dualing stats , two grandpa's of our two pitchers both keep stats . Here is a dandy about stats --- rumor has it one of pitchers dads who is an assist coach ask that the stats from the N Canton Hoover game ( a 11-0 loss for us , they have won 10 of the past 14 D-1 state championships ) get thrown out and not used ... it was too cold that am and she wasnt really scheduled to pitch .... not kidding. I love softball but sometimes HATE HS softball.

I'd venture to say JMU 's kid would be top ten on that list if her stats were turned in.

Yeah Maddy is having a good year, we don't have ours on this website but they are in the high school section of cincinnati.com. That is where most of Cincy and NKY has their stats.

Stats are what they are, it would be great if everyone tired their best to keep them as accurate as possible but that isn't always the case.

to be technically correct it's the 1b grandpa that keeps book not one of the pitchers . Katie plays SS now on D and she says when one assist's dd is throwing he is all over her about technique and tips and positioning and when she isnt throwing he never says a word . sad .

There are a lot of real good people who are in it for the right reasons, sad but there are some that are not and it can really ruin someones HS exp.
