The George Rogers Clark softball team dropped a 7-4 setback to Montgomery County Thursday night in Mount Sterling.

 

Clark led 2-1 going into the third inning, but the Lady Indians went ahead for good with a three-run outburst in the third inning.

 

Clark will be the No. 3 seed in the district and will take on the Lady Indians to open the postseason on May 20 at Bourbon County High School. The two teams split the two games, with Clark winning 4-1 on April 25 at Cardinal Heights.

 

Clark collected seven hits, led by Sydney Anderson with a single and a double.

 

Erin Carrus also laced a two-bagger, while Meg Terrell, Whitney Conkwright, Skye Skinner and Peyton Skillern each had a hit.

 

Clark pitcher Jessica Neal gave up 11 hits and collected one strikeout in the loss.

Don't really need one. #2 and 3 play each other in the district. It will be May 20th at Bourbon Co I have been told.

Tie breaker would be determined by runs given up by tied teams. Since that is also a tie it goes to coin flip. It is used to determine home team.
