Notre Dame 11 Holy Cross 3

Featured Replies

If its possible the game was closer than the final.

Holy Cross jumped out to a 3-0 lead after 1 but NDA answered with 3 in the top on the 2nd. Score remained that way until the 6th when Ryle but up 8, mainly due to inability to field a bunt. I am not sure but I think it might be a good time for HC to start working on that.

Not sure about stats but hits were probably pretty close to even depending on how some of those bunts were scored. Smith pitched for NDA and looked really good exp as the game went on.

Neither team hit the ball great, and not to take any thing away from the pitchers but a lot of it had to do with the umpire. I have seen some bad ones in the 9th but we had the worst of the worst tonight. Dwanye has been around for awhile and is never good but he had the worst performance on balls and stikes that I have ever seen. The man should NEVER be able to ump a game again IMO. I saw two balls that hit the dirt called for stikes, he was bad in every facet of a home plate ump, the girls really had no idea what was going to be called a stike. I am not sure if he knows this or not but Haylee is really good she doesn't need much help getting girls out!!! He was equally bad for both sides so I hope this doesn't sound to much like sour grapes, of course I let him have it some after the game, I would usually feel a little bad but not today.

On a side note it was HC's first game at Bowman field, for as little time and money that they have had to get it together it looked great. I think it will be one of the more fan friendly places to watch a game.

The facilitation looked awesome, told coach Meeks & Liz they have done a great job with the place. I will agree, defending the bunts tonight was not good.

Congrats to Haylee Smith on the 14 K' s.

Wanted to add that NDA's SS had several really nice hits, maybe Lawnboy can provide her name.

PS, next time keep him on your side of the field, I get in enough trouble with out him around.

Where is Bowman Field?

About 4 miles south of Latonia...take decorcey pike about a mile or 2 south out of Latonia, take a slight left onto locust (sp) pike...it will be 2 miles from there on the left.

Hahaha!! Why do you think I shipped him over to you?!

Why do you think NCC has lost all of those one run games.:lol2:
