It should be an interesting year for the Jags. A lot will depend on their QB play to how succesful they will be. They lost a lot off their lines but with the great line coaching they've had over the past years is any indication they should be ok up front.

Their skill players are pretty good so it will come down to their QB play and if the QB can move around in the pocket enough to by time for his receivers to get open down field without turning it over they could be ok. Their RB is solid, I believe Bricking averaged over 12 yards a carry last year, getting hte majority of his carries late in the season.

I will predict a 6-4, 7-3 Reg season record. I think the district title will be between So. Oldham and Conner.

Only four home games.

I think a big question will be the line. I agree about good coaches but the boys have to put in the work now and this summer to step up.

I agree with your 7-3, however enjoy 8-2 if that happens. Success breeds success, you may be pleasantly surprise how many kids will step up and develop quickly between now and seasons start. Good luck to the Jags. I really enjoyed watching the Harlan Co. game in the state tourney.

Good schedule.............6A and NCC as non district teams..............

I agree. Coach Borchers always seems to have a nice tough schedule for the boys. They may not play HHS or CCH but they usually do play up against plenty of 6A schools before they get into their district play. I think they will always play Boone, and Ryle for some of their out of conference games simply because like Conner they are county rivalries. Same reason Beechwood and CCH play every year.

I think a lot of kids will step up this year ~ some who frankly just weren't bigger/better than the STUDS the Jags had last year. They have had a taste of winning for dinner and dominating for dessert....the Class of 2014 will do their very best to stay at the grown ups table!!

From what I am reading the line seems to be most everyones concern this year. I'm not sure how good they are going to be up front, but I saw their JV play last year, and although they lost the game their O-line was huge. If they can develop those kids look out, they had about 3-4 road graders on that line, it could be scary.
