Have not seen a thread on this so..................What can Highlands do to keep the game close and give them selves a chance to win? Do they need to slow it down?

By slow it down - do you mean hold the ball - four corners style? Not going to happen, and NCC would be silly to let it happen.

HHS plays every game slow, all games are played in the 40's or low 50's. They just don't get enough easy baskets to score more points.

For HHS to compete into the 4th qtr., they will have to shoot lights out. NCC will need to have an off night from the perimeter - I'm sure HHS will pack it in to protect the paint. HHS will need to rebound the defensive end and limit NCC to one shot per possession. Getting a few of the NCC regulars into foul trouble wouldn't hurt either.

In summation, HHS needs a perfect storm to pull this one off.

Yes I did mean a type of extreme patience.......................keep the score in the 30's kind of game. Did not say NCC would like it or would want it to happen but can Highlands hold on to the ball 30-45 seconds every possession.

HHC will have to play it's best game of the year to win this game. They will pack in the zone or keep 1 foot in the lane on their zone defense and hope NCC doesn't kill them from the outside. Luke Turner and Drew Houliston have to knock down several 3's and everyone else has to hit some open shots. Nick Turner has to score some and can't get into foul trouble. If HHS tries to slow it down too much they will turn it over. Just hope this game is close going into the 4th quarter.

This was my concern...............Can they slow it down and end up getting a good shot out of it.

Pray that Beueter and Siebert do not shoot them out of the zone.

The problem is every Team Highlands has played outside of Scott and Campbell Co has scorched the neta or shot atleast 40%.
