Senior forward McKell Oliverio became the fifth Ryle girls’ basketball player to record 1,000 points in the Raiders’ 46-43 loss at Lexington Dunbar on Saturday. Oliverio, daughter of coach Patti Oliverio, needed 14 points to reach that milestone. She scored 12 points in the first quarter and hit a jumper from the corner in the second quarter. Oliverio finished with a game-best 18 points, and senior guard Dawn Johnson tallied 12 in her third game back from injury. Ryle missed a potentially game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.
