onetoya Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Spring Valley wins it with a big 4th quarter.
Blue Blazer Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Any stats or details from this game? Was Ashland leading until the 4th? What happened?
AshlandTomcat41 Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 This was pretty much a back and forth game until the 4th. Ashland was leading by as many as 4 late in the 3rd, I didnt listen to the 4th quarter so I dont really know what happened....oh well....
Blue Blazer Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Well, i have to admit that I thought the Cats would win this one. I thought it would be a tough contest, but I really thought the Cats were the favorite. Anyway it seems as though the Cats have lost their confidence to come through in the clutch. The Fairview loss has really seemed to send their season in a downward spiral. IMO as an outsider looking in. Obviously I'm not an Ashland fan but I do genuinely like the kids. I have spent alot of time with the McDavid's, Thomas's, and Wilcox's, and I wish those kids nothing but the very best. With a couple exceptions you know! Anyway hopefully the Cats can win the 64th and play in Morehead. They always bring a great crowd, and competive games. I was glad to see former Tomcat and good friend Chris Lynch helping the Freshman team this season and man those Frosh are good. Their is light at the end of the Tunnell!!!!
Nothingbutnet Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 man those Frosh are good. Their is light at the end of the Tunnell!!!! That is the only good news for the Tomcats this season!! Maybe next year they can get back to their old selves! I don't look for Ashland to be at Morehead the way they are playing this year!

Yes, the freshmen are good. Also when you include Ryan Bonner in the mix, they are even better. Daniel McDavid, Cody Bowling, John Baldock, and big man Matt Rowe are all nice players.
Blue Blazer Posted January 22, 2006 Posted January 22, 2006 Yes, I believe that they are still undefeated. Coach Polley and Coach Lynch are doing a real nice job! Ashland will be right in the mix of it and a force to be reckoned with!

Ashland will be right in the mix of it and a force to be reckoned with! The freshmen have lost once on the season to Ironton in a close ball game. But you have to remember when the current juniors were freshmen they went 15-4, won the RIT(Russell Invitational Tourney),and the freshmen AIT playing without Thomas and McDavid :sssh: so i wouldn't bank on future success just yet.
