Sure upper body strength matters, but close your eyes and imagine trying to hold on to the football, and then imagine doing a rep on the bench. Different muscles involved. Good bench reps are nice, but not nearly as important as others for a high school player.

 

I never said that bench presses were the most important. I was merely asking a question about Jeff's overall stats. And I would still like to know, if anyone can help. Thanks.

I saw Jeff today doing work for our parish...like I said...great kid!...he said that the 4.4 rumor is just that...a rumor. He said that he has gotten faster but not 4.4 faster. He is excitied about his chance to compete and is working hard. I hope he makes it...He is a great kid and I would love to see him achieve his dream..
