In the limited time I watched, it seemed that the Birds didnt take care of the ball as well as they could have. Maybe I am just not used to watching Girls basketball but it seemed they threw some errant passes into traffic many times.

 

They have some really nice scoring options down low with Scheafer and Dailey. Adler and Coffey are nice young guards who will keep getting better with experience. Both drained nice shots from behind the arc.

 

Abner provides solid leadership out front and plays hard.

 

I like this LadyBird team.

 

Unforced turnovers have plagued them all year so far! I'm not sure why. You'd think its the young guards, but that's not really the case, it's everyone! They sometimes look a little robotic, like they are trained to throw it to a certain area and they are going to whether someone is there or not. Then I completely agree with JOAT...too many forced/unecessary passes into traffic, down court, etc. Too many empty trips. The ball is "Gold" and they don't treat it like that. Nothing against Brossart, but if the Birds execute (by just some very little things), this game could have got away from Brossart. But the birds went on dry spurts because of the empty trips and never put them away.

 

I do give the Brossart girls a ton of credit, they DO NOT give up and come at you the entire game. It was neat to see. They play hard and could have very easily won a game that looked like it could get out of hand early!

Not that I doubt you Q, but just got a text from RCC9 with 55-51. Either way text were confirming this was not even close till the 4th quarter comeback by the 'Stangs.
