Congratulations to Leah Schaeffer for hitting the 1000 point mark in her high school career last night!!!! For those that don't know her...I can't think of a better high school athlete example. She works hard, has a great attitude and is a great role model for young girls!

 

As for the game, Highlands was just too deep for Dixie last night. Dixie has some really nice players, but Highlands goes 9-10 deep this year and they were able to use that last night to their advantage.

 

Nice win for the Birds, but it gets much tougher from here. Ursiline (OH), Sacred Heart and Brossart on deck!

Adler and Coffey started and both played well. Both finished with 6-8 points (approx) and played good defense. The starters didn't see a ton of time because of the score (no offense to Dixie) and the fact that they have so many in the rotation this year. Leigh played well. I don't think she scored, but played solid defense and had a couple nice passes and drives.

 

All the seniors were very solid last night as well (Fisse, Parton, Daley, Abner, Scheaffer). The sophomore class has a couple strong players as well in Lydia Graves and Alex Combs. All will contribute greatly to HHS' ups and downs this year!
