Bert Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Trinity played a rotten first half. Down by 8 or 12 at the half, I don't recall which. PRP's press really threw them off. However, I guess in these tournaments where you play every day, it is difficult for the coaches to adequately prep the team. At half time, Szabo made some great adjustments. Trinity tied the game twice. However, on Trinity's last offensive play, the inbounds didn't go very well, an over and back turnover . Game tied at 54. PRP gets the ball back and nails a three with only seconds on the clock. Chad Byron had a wonderfull game.
LSURock Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 The Rocks have to make better decisions handling the ball. Too much trouble getting the ball inbounds, too much trouble getting the ball across the line, it seems like they throw the ball into a double team in the corner way too often. But they have improved every week and I'm sure they will get these things under control as well. The biggest loser Friday night was the LIT itself, the prospect of a 12:00 noon matchup between Trinity and X must have had them dreaming of a sellout. But alas, it wasn't to be.
All Tell Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 PRP has a very good team. They deserved the win BUT they are always going to be next to impossible to beat when they play defense as agressively as they do and are only called for 5 fouls in a half.
