Golden Lions go on the road to Stanton and pick up a district win in the mud against Powell County. After the first quarter it was almost impossible to read the numbers on Garrard's white jerseys. The field conditions got progressively muddy and mixed with the fog it was hard to see much. Garrard kept the ball on the ground for nearly the entire night, with junior tailback getting most of the carries. I'm not sure what the numbers were for Williams, but I'd bet he was over 200 yards. The defense continued to play solid as well, even without outside linebacker/defensive end Dustin Keller.

 

Next week is the big one, with Bourbon County coming to Lancaster for a key district showdown. Should be fun!
