Top 5 Players: 13th Region

Featured Replies

Now that we are into the season, who are the top 5 players in the 13th?

Proffitt-South

Allen-South

Allen-North

Crawford-Corbin

Jones-Clay

That's as good of a list as any.

Some others who I think are barely on the outside looking in are listed below in no particular order.

Smith-Harlan:unfortunately injured.

Hammonds-South

Cox- Barbourville

Miller- Middlesboro

Sanders- Bell

Johnson- Cumberland

1. Proffitt/South-One of the best 5 guards in the state.

2. Allen/South/ -Great High School Player

3. Allen/North- Speed/Speed/Speed

4. Jones/Clay-Hard-Nosed

5. Crawford/Corbin- Future First Team All-Stater.

I still havent seen Crawford play..im going to have to go and watch this kid..and see what everybody is talking aboutt

Cris Good - Barbourville - Scored over 30 points in two games - rebounds - steals -assists, all-around player; Future D1 or D2 player - fun to watch!

I think we are forgetting about Miller. I am one of his toughest critics...... but I think he definantly deserves to be on this list. I cant just give five..... so I'm giving 10.

Allen - SL

Proffitt - SL

Miller - M'boro

Crawford - Corbin

Allen - NL

Jones - Clay

Cox - Barbourville

Sanders - Bell

Hammonds - SL

Smith - SL

I like your list. The only thing I would change, I'd put Crawford between Jones-Clay and Cox-B'ville.

Proffitt-South

Allen-South

Crawford-Corbin

Allen-North

Jones-Clay

My list was really in no particular order....... however once I got to looking at it I would agree with you, and if I did do the switch then the list would be in 1-10 order.

How come nobody is mentioning Swafford?? He has been dominant this year.

He does deserve mentioning....... I'm not sure where he fits exactly though when it comes to top 5 players. He deserves definate consideration as a top 10 player though...... but once again, not sure where.

IMO if Cox and Johnson are looking in then Good from B'ville and Dixon from Lynn Camp are at least peeking in.

The only thing keeping Jordan Hammonds off the top five is the fact you already have two players from South. IMO he is better than S. Allen from North and Jones from Clay.

I see Hammonds, Allen, and Jones as different players that do different things, and therefore hard to compare.

I think you may be right about Hammonds not making some ppls list since SL already has 2 players in the top 5.

I will agree that Hammonds is a top 10 player in this region...... but Im not so sure he is top 5. He is a great shooter, especially from 3 point range, but I'm not sure what else he does but score. If I'm looking for a pure shooter I'd take Miller from M'boro over Hammonds just because I think Miller is more athletic then Hammonds and shoots just as good.

Not to start anything again, nor am I trying to get this discussion going on this thread...... lol....... but I find it curious how alot of people who were arguing that Miller was the better guard between Miller and Proffitt are now placing Proffitt ahead of Miller on their top 5 players list. Just an interesting observation.
