Very little to report here. Tigers were up 30-0 at the end of 1 and 51-0 at halftime, the starters were all out by midway through the 2nd. Academy@Shawnee is admirable to continue to field football teams, and they are under the capable principalship of my old friend Keith Look.

 

It was Hall of Fame night at Bardstown and they inducted 4 more, including Coach Woodson, the long time athletics coach for the Bardstown Training School, the local school for black kids only until Bardstown High was integrated in 1958-59.

Hearsay, I know the Tigers didn't play much competition this week, but, they've been putting up some big scoring numbers this year. How good is this team? And, do you see them with a chance to make a deep playoff run? I know they have a tough district with Desales and CAL, how do they match up with those 2?

Its a good football team, with a lot of talent among the starters. Depth is potentially an issue. The sophomore quarterback has developed faster than expected, and they've gotten better line play than I anticipated. I think they matchup pretty well with CAL and Desales, and get Desales at home on senior night. When playing well, I think they've got the chance to make a pretty solid run.
