Congrats to Jared Swanson from Simon Kenton for being named MVP of the Crosstown Showdown this afternoon. Kick off return for a TD to start the second half was huge.

 

Really wish he got some snaps on the offensive side of the ball......

I was hoping he would get to play some offense tonight! If he did the game wouldn't even have been close!

I thought he had a catch tonight? He didn't play any on offense? His returns were the difference in the game tonight. The kick off return turned the game around. He also had a couple nice punt returns that helped Simon Kenton with field position.

 

For all the talk about whether Beechwood would miss Nussbaum more on offense or defense, I think they missed him punting the ball the most. He has a strong leg and he does that running punt that takes away any return.

 

Congratulations to Swanson on a well deserved MVP award.

I really wish he would get a few snaps on offense. I mean he only did everything for this team last season playing both ways and special teams. Now he can't get any snaps on offense makes no sense to me. I thought especially in high school football you would want your best playmakers on the field at all times but guess the coaching staff doesn't see it that way.
