Tates Creek / West Jessamine VisitNich.com Bowl

Featured Replies

Tates Creek comes off an impressive scrimmage victory over #4 Louisville Butler (35-28), West Jessamine comes off an impressive 24-0 beating of Dunbar High School, scrimmage. Will be a contrast of Spread Offense multiple weapons with Tates Creek against the Run Heavy Misdirection Offense of West. Discussions, Score predictions........

I watched the game film on the West Jessamine vs. Dunbar scrimmage. I don't think they passed the ball more than 5 or 6 times. Where as Creek passed 20 times and ran it 10 times (at least that's what they did in the first 3 quarters) against Butler. If Creek can't stop the run, this will be a high scoring game. I won't predict a score, but I'll be shocked if Creek doesn't score 4 or 5 touchdowns. That offense is over the top stacked with talent. Two more days, and the excitement begins!!!

I was thinking after seeing the films that Creek would score at least 28-35 points. West will score some too but I think that Creek is too talented in their skill positions for West to beat. May be some rain which could slow down Tates Creek some, but hard for me to imagine West neutralizing Oxendine and Taylor enough.

I look for the your son to have a big day throwing the ball.

I think Tates Creek will have too much for West Jessamine in this one. Tates Creek 34-14.

Very contrasting styles in this one. Tates Creek wants this like a track meet. Using its athletes. West wants to control the clock and line of scrimmage. Look for Creek to blitz the backers and try and neutralize the run game forcing a run heavy West to try and challenge a very good Defensive Backfield through the air.

Hope so GoingFor2... Looks like they are going to give Graham the start. One thing I've learned over the years, it's easier to throw a wet ball than it is to catch one. Hopefully any rain will have moved on, it is a very late game. Like I said, no predictions from me, but I think I certainly agree with AverageJoe ;-)

Will anyone be giving updates on this game?

Sorry... I'll be to involved cheering the team on. I'll try and post a half time score, and will deffinately post some stats and thoughts after the game is over. I'm pretty sure it will be broadcast on the radio, and I know that it will be broadcast live on iHigh.com... I just read the Hearald Leader's preseason preview on TC... I think it is awesome that this team has so much talent that only a select few get a mention...

I just checked an updated weather report. Looks like most of the heavy rain will be in the morning. I'm crossing my fingers, but the weather should be fairly clear by game time. I'd rather see West Jessamine try and slow this offense down rather than the rain ;-)

Exactly. The weather will be clear when the Tates Creek train comes to town.....
