Tates Creek beats #5 Louisville Butler 35-28. Was a great game. Very even game. Tates Creek Soph QB Graham Gordon was great. Picked Butler apart and his favorite target was #19 RJ Taylor who ended up with 7 catches 93 yards and 2 TDs. 28-21 Creek when the 2s came in and finished.

Sophmore QB's (Graham Gordon) numbers were roughly 176 yards passing with 3 passing TD's (over 3 quarters)... (it's no secret that I'm a little biased, but numbers don't lie)... Goingfor2 is right, Graham and RJ are 100% on the same page, very exciting to watch... Oxendine showed why he is the best running back in central Ky (maybe the state, we'll see)... I don't think anyone can pass on this defense, but they sure as he%! can run on them... if they shut down the run, this game is a blow out... oh... wait... let me think... yes... they did in the second half... I can't wait for August 17th... Go Creek!!!

I was very impressed with how methodically Tates Creek wore them down. Creek didn't start Dennis Oxendine and Eamon Nasr on defense last night, when they came in starting the 3rd quarter, it was lights out.....Butler has some

Great athletes as well. Well coached clean game. Hardly any penalties. Was a great night of football.

How would you rate the teams in this district?

 

Gold thats a good question. The District is a very even District. Any year, any of the 4 teams could win it. Lafayette, Madison Central, Clark County and Tates Creek. I'd say after seeing Tates Creek last night that barring injury, Tates Creek will be a major factor this year. Their Junior and Sophomore Class is really strong. Really Strong. And they have finally found their answer at QB. They are in good hands for the next 3 years at the QB spot.
