Who cares what the rest of the commonwealth thinks! In Volleyball, state worthy teams from NKY and Lville are left home all of the time, just so the winner from region 1 or 16 can go to state. Everyone on here defends it and says "well, that's the way it's set up" So, if the state re-aligns the 8th, 9th, and 10th and it happens to spread out the talented Kenton Co teams where more of them have a chance to go, I say good. They deserve to go.

And as usual, my fix for all of this is . . . . add at large bids for volleyball and basketball (and all of the rest of the sports while we're at it.) 16 regional winners and 8 at large bids to include more teams from the deeper regions - makes it an exciting 24 team tourney. Longer tourney, more teams and interest, and more $$$ for the KHSAA. win-win-win for all.

No argument here either. I like it. How would it be determined who gets the at large bids? That could be difficult. Maybe even take it a step further and have the top two from each region make it to state and have a 1 play a 2 in the state tourny. Just a thought.

Spoken like a person who has never been outside of NKy! Sorry BK but the rest of the Commonwealth does matter and if it happens one day (five Kenton and Jefferson Counties schools go to the state tourney in Basketball), they will scream and holler. Believe it or not, the KHSAA represented more than just NKy and they try to make everybody happy and your comments are one reason why so many in the rest of the Commonwealth dislike NKy so much!

Let's drop the regions and just have lexington, louisville, and NKY schools in the state tournament.

Every team has their chance. Some roads are harder than others but they all have a chance,
