Jeff Morrow to Iroquois

Featured Replies

Just read a tweet from Jason Frakes that has Jeff Morrow going to Iriquois to coach. Anyone else hearing this?

^ You are right I did some research and found this:

Jeff Morrow, who won a state championship at Jeffersontown in 2006, has been named the new boys’ basketball coach at Iroquois High School.

Morrow posted a 250-118 record in 12 seasons at J’town before stepping down in May 2011. He did not coach during the 2011-12 season.

“We’re excited to have him,” Iroquois athletic director Mike Beard said. “We think he’s a really good fit for our program.”

Morrow replaces Michael Stinnett, who posted a 126-71 record in seven seasons.

I know Morrow is something of a hot-head, but he is also a really good coach who had a ton of success at Jeffersontown. Iroquois had been very good for years and there is no reason to believe Morrow won't be knocking on the door of the regional title on a consistent basis.

It will be harder for JMo to get the players he needs at Iroquois.

Maybe, but they always have players.
