ftsnbul, you are correct down the middle and the defender tried to jump and fell. Mexitucky I too have heard about this game in every bar conversation about the 1976 team and game against NewCath. Doug was an outstanding person, he never met a stranger and was always quick to help those in need, my heart breaks for his family. I pray that they find comfort in the fact that he touched so many in a very positive way.

The DB that jumped for the pass was Rob Dames, Rob is currently battling cancer. Prayers to him and his young family too.

That was one great game, but situations like what these families are going through, put it all into perspective.
