This is far from a great hire. Cravens is an okay coach at best but the best part about this is that Keaton is coming back. Hopefully, for you PC supporters, this is a short term hire and Keaton will take over soon.

 

We don't really know what kind of hire Cravens will be. We haven't seen him coach boys basketball in a while. I'd at least give him a shot before I dismiss him as a poor coach.

 

That being said, I do believe that in the future, Keaton Belcher will be the head coach at Pendleton County. And I believe he will be a successful coach for many years. But let's see what Cravens can do before we go there.

Word is that this was an "Anthony" hire. 13 applicants for the job, and it's possible the committee didn't get as much choice as they would have liked. Sounds like the dismissal of some of the current coaches was not handled very well. Also rumored that at least of the PC assistants may be entertaining Mason County which could change up the mix.
