Who will be pitching?

For those wondering, this is the best start (14-1) for the Colonels since they started 17-1 in 2009. Their only loss in first 18 games.....Boone County

It is almost freakish how similar the Colonels' results are from this year and last year. At this point last year, CovCath was 13 -1 and rated 18th in the state by the Coaches' Association. At this point, both this year's and last year's teams had beaten Holy Cross in a non-seed game by very similar scores (this year by a score of 6 - 3, and last year by a score of 8 - 3). At this point in the season, both teams had beaten Ohio power Hamilton Badin, NewCath, Conner, Ryle, Bishop Brossart, Simon Kenton and Cooper. This year's team beat Boyle County, while last year's team beat Louisville Trinity. Both teams' only loss - Dixie.

 

So if you are looking for guidance, last year CovCath beat Boone in their first matchup by a score of 9 - 4.
