Knott County Central 50 Buckhorn 42

Recommended Posts

Buckhorn led by 2 after the 1st period and the game was tied at 25 at the half. Knott Central jumped out early in the 3rd and never trailed the rest of the game.

KCC had a long dry spell (1993-2010) between their state tournament appearances when they were in Rupp in 2010. Now they've won the 14th 2 of the last 3 years.

Buckhorn had a huge crowd. Small school but they have a lot of fan support.

The gym was near capacity. Knott has a good venue for the tournament. It's a a pretty good drive for teams from the 56th district schools, but it's the largest gym in the region at 5,000 seats, and all parts of the gym are good viewing for the game.
