  1. Wright State commit Caleb Ehling delivered the tournament's latest stellar pitching performance, hurling a complete game and allowing just three hits to stifle Ryle's (32-10) bats. McCracken County (33-9) will face the winner of Owensboro Catholic and Hopkinsville in next Friday's semifinals.
  2. State #1 flexes on a very good Russell County (31-11) program. There was balance up and down the Trinity (38-4) line-up, with five different Rocks driving in at least two runs. Trinity will face the winner of Lexington Catholic and Pleasure Ridge Park in the semifinals next Friday.
  3. Final of the nightcap at Legends Field. Andrew Mayes gets the win after five innings of shutout baseball for the Tigers. Lucas Kaetzel provided the offensive highlight with a two run homer.
  4. I'll take T, Ryle, O-Cath, and PRP. PRP and LexCath could be a pitcher's duel. I anticipate Brody Rogers (8-0, 1.07 ERA) getting the ball for the Knights, and PRP has a few quality arms to choose from.
  5. Middle of the 7th Still 5-0, Hopkinsville. Estill managed to escape further harm in the top half of the inning, but there's much work to be done. They've got three outs to produce at least five runs or Hoptown advances.
  6. Top of the 7th Still 5-0, Hopkinsville. The Tigers have two on and no outs, looking to add an insurance run or two.
  7. Same. Hopefully they can at least make things interesting down the stretch. Plate a run or two and get some optimism flowing.
  8. Pitching change for Hopkinsville after Mayes walks the first two batters in the bottom of the 6th. Jackson Thompson takes the mound, inheriting two runners with no outs and a five run lead.
  9. Middle of the 6th Hoptown 5 Estill County 0 The Tigers threatened again in the top half of the inning, but Estill was able to avoid a larger deficit.
  10. Bottom of the 4th Still 3-0, Tigers. The Engineers are trying to get something going with runners at 2nd and 3rd with one out. ======================== Bases loaded now, but two outs. ======================== Nothing doing for Estill. Andrew Mayes strikes out Mason Griggs to shut the door and preserve Hopkinsville's 3-0 lead.
  11. Top of the 4th Still 2-0, Tigers. The bases are loaded for Hopkinsville with one out.
