  1. The Knights (27-11, PBR #15) storm to an early lead and cruise to victory over the Royals (20-16) behind a strong outing on the mound from Burkley Bounds. He crafted a complete game, striking out seven. Lexington Catholic will face Pleasure Ridge Park in the quarterfinals on Saturday night at 8:30.
  2. Middle of the 6th LexCath 6 Mason County 0 Jackson Wasik singles in Bennie Lawrence after the latter singled, stole second, and stole third.
  3. End of the 5th Still 5-0, LexCath. With the exception of a couple of harmless base hits, the last three innings have been routine.
  4. Game 5 End of the 2nd LexCath 5 Mason County 0 Crooked numbers early for the Knights. Five different batters have an RBI already.
  5. PRP's Grayson Roll had himself a day, pitching a complete game and driving in three runs with a double and a triple. Brayden Bruner and Asious Kavich each went yard for the Panthers. Most of that damage was inflicted upon LaRue County pitcher Brayden Singleton, who was on the hook for 9 of PRP's 11 runs in four innings of work. He came in with a 1.93 ERA on the season.
  6. Jakob Schweitzer goes 6.1 innings for Trinity (37-4, PBR #1), allowing three hits and striking out 8. Grayson Davis punched out consecutive batters to end Pikeville's (25-10) 7th inning threat. The Shamrocks will face Russell County in the quarterfinals Saturday morning at 10:00am.
  7. Pikeville has runners at 1st and 2nd with one out in the T7. Still 2-0, Rocks. Pitching change: Grayson Davis is on in relief of Shweitzer.
  8. End of the 6th Trinity 2 Pikeville 0 The Rocks went down in order. Pikeville has three outs to come up with at least two runs.

  10. End of the 5th Still 2-0, Shamrocks. T had runners at 2nd and 3rd, but were unable to extend the lead.
  11. Game 2 Bottom of the 5th Trinity 2 Pikeville 0 Ethan Dillon has played a hand in both runs, driving in one and scoring the other. Trinity pitcher Jakob Schweitzer is dealing from the mound, allowing three hits so far.
