I think it's worth pointing out that from 2013-2014 Desales went 28-2 with the only two losses to CAL in the regular season both years. What a run. I believed and still firmly believe both those Desales teams could have went toe to toe with any team in the state.
Desales wins this by a solid margin. They are firing on all cylinders right now and are currently on a 181-0 run with four shutouts in their last four games.
I agree that comparing scores most of the time is nonsense but Desales flat out man handled North Hardin. Put it this way, desales beats north Hardin 10 out of 10 try's while I believe OCath beats them 5 out of 10. But I did not watch the game so my opinion is skewed.
Though I am disappointed in the outcome, I feel very good moving forward. Have to believe that Aaron Pfaddt has cemented himself as the starting QB and aside from a few mistakes this game has a different outcome. See you guys in November
You got me buddy. How much do you know of this rivalry? Have you ever been to one of the games? It will be a great game but there is no love between these two programs and I won't act like we're buddy buddy with them. No disrespect to any other Desales posters intended.
On a neutral field it would be the same outcome. It was the same outcome at NH home field last season. Desales is on a another level compared to North Hardin in every aspect. And we did that last night with a backup QB. But we can agree to disagree that's what makes it fun
I had the same reaction when reading the same post. Desales beats North Hardin 10 out of 10 games. And I felt the refs were terrible all night particularly on the roughing the kicker call and the personal foul on a clean hit after an interception but all the PI calls were legit. You can't hit guys before the ball gets there or face guard like NH did all night. The NH fans were an interesting bunch also. Enough of that on to CAL!!
