Taylor Robinson is an amazing ball player. This girl is just a stellar athlete and competitor, and she's going to lead the Camels to many wins this season. GO CAMELS! -

can we get OVER this BBHS CCHS thing?! this thread has nothing to do with it. sounds like you all need to go BACK to high school. -
http://nky.cincinnati.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/AB/20121015/SPT0302/310150161/ I'm not trying to be a downer, but come on Enquirer! Getting recognized in the paper is such an exciting thing for young adults! Campbell County doesn't get a lot of attention next to the bigger powerhouse schools; and when they do, it's so disappointing to see that they can't even get a name right. I really am not trying to be harsh, because I am a human, and I make mistakes- but your job is to report the fact. And the fact is, this girl's name is Lauren MACKE and she is an amazing soccer player- and lifted Campbell County on Monday night into the Regional semifinals, a FIRST for Campbell County in many many years. Very proud of Lauren and all of the ladies! Best of luck the rest of the week!

High School Swimming

i see your point, however I know that Campbell County has varsity programs other than swimming that use other complexes for practices. The baseball team is currently spending time in an old elementary gym, splitting it's time with cheerleading and colorguard, and wrestling at some points too. every team still has weekly practices- the venue doesn't alter that. -

Yes I did go to Campbell Co. And yes, my freshman year, we had a club swimmer on our team that qualified for state, and I had never spoken to him before. Only him and I represented CCHS at state, and i had NO IDEA who he was. He was put into events at meets, wouldn't sit with the team, would hang out with his club teammates, and would only talk to us when he was on a relay... So COME ON is right. It doesn't set up for good team moral when you don't have everyone there for practice. That's where you mold together and become a team. -

When i swam in high school, our club swimmers NEVER came to our practices... i hated it because it took away from the team. these nobodies came in, wearing your team suit and team name, took awards, and you had no idea who they were. but that's how all teams are in nky. -
I completely agree. I don't agree with Morris's style of play either (AT ALL), but he has seen more success. I still feel though that those girls now know how to when, and now need to be taught the game correctly. ANYWAY- Scott Shipp is a superb coach. Plenty of experience with a winning program (Highlands), and complete knowledge of the game. He still plays in an over 30 league actually. He was an awesome mentor to me and my teammates, and he wanted CCHS to become a top notch program. He left because he was starting a family, and was never welcomed back. It's sad that CC athletics only care about certain teams and not others.

while the camels fought hard, they need to stop relying on playing BOOT BALL, and learn to pass from teammate to teammate. natalie visse is a BEAST, and they have some great ball handlers. they just need to redefine how the game should be played. booting it down the field does nothing but give possession over, and make your girls a lot more tired from running back and forth. -
Whoa Whoa Whoa. you all need to chill out. while i also believe it's NOT right to bash a coach, i wish the school WOULD go for the applicant with the best experience, and not settle for the easiest solution. I played with coach hitch at CCHS, and he is an amazing person and great with the kids, but he doesn't have the knowledge of the game. i wish scott shipp would return. the inside word is that he had tried to apply for this season, but wasn't even considered. that is sad.

Region Player/Coach of the Year

I would have to say Taylor Robinson for player from Campbell County. That girl had two IMPRESSIVE steals back to back vs. Brossart in districts. She's a defensive standout, and such a good ball handler, with a good shot as well. And I believe she's only a junior.
