Tuff break for Rock when quarterback Chayse Mcclure got hip pointer on opening kick off. Rocks best player and best cover man could only hand off and no defense -
4A #5 Rockcastle County vs. 4A #9 Knox Central

Knox has a new running back from Bourbon County and people I have talked to think he could be the difference in the game. He looked good in first game against Rock at Danville when he played for Bourbon. -
Truly bad news for the Rock faithful and for Clark. We wish him nothing but the best and it has been a joy watching him the last 3 years. We will see if the rest of the team can rise to occasion and finish out the season as champs. I can think of nothing that would make Clark prouder !!

Rockcastle County vs. Knox Central Predictions

I will agree with the previous post. The loss of Rowe tilt's the game in Knox Centrals favor. Rock has manned up and beat two pretty good teams without him but no one as physical as Knox. Should be a good game. -

One thing I do know. If I never see the substitute ref from Bowling Green that filled in on that crew last night it will be soon enough for me. -

Congratulations to Rock. I too was surprised by Russell Countys lack of a running game. I had been led to believe otherwise. Fun game to watch . Just shows you can totally dominate a game and its possible to hand it away with turnovers. Russell was close to winning although they were probably outgained 4 to 1. I thought BB Bradley game Rock a tremendous lift on both sides of the ball when turnovers had them beat down mentally. Hopefully Rowe will be able to return for the Knox Central game they are certainly going to need him to have a legitimate shot. Russell has lots of younger players and is just going to get better and better. The lakers just ran into a mismatch on the line of scrimmage! -

I thought #28 Bradley played really well for the Rockets. He had a bunch of tackles and ran the ball really hard. Hope he can keep in up next week!! -
Pulaski County/Rockcastle County Predictions

Maroons have lots of offense and will handle the Rock much as they have the last 2 years. Rock can stay with them for half but then wears down and game is over. It will be closer than last year because Pulaski is missing a couple of key players. Pulaski 28 Rock 14. -
Frankfort vs. Rockcastle predictions

Frankforts speed will be too much for Rock. Sheldon Clark was slow and over-rated. Rock line will not be able to get a push on Frankfort. Frankfort 28-Rock 7. -
I heard that Sheldon Clark had a quarterback and running back move in this year. Anyone else know if its true. Very exciting if true, could help out with all the losses from last year.

I hate to disagree but 9 of Lexingtons 11 came in first 3 innings and we were behind 9-8 going into the 4th inning.

The Danville Mustangs scored 66 runs in 4 games and gave up 26 runs in 4 games. Even with the sticks they have they will have to have much better pitching than that to compete in Regionals.

Congratulations to Rockcastle County's John Saylor for being voted 12th region player of the year and also leading the state in home runs with 17. This was a very strong region with several excellent players . Good luck to John and I hope him all the best in college at LMU.

I think the Saylor kid from Rockcastle has 17, but most of them have been on the road. This is pretty impressive considering they have played less than 25 games.
