  1. I am assuming this is sarcasm. That said it will be very interesting and competitive with HHS, CCH, and Dixie in 5A, at least in this region. All 3 have lost significant players to graduation but also return many key players. Silly at this point to predict other than to say it will be fun to watch it all unfold..
  2. Congrats to Mitch for a very fine season. While in the string I would be remiss if I didn't also mention all of the first year starters and key players to Cain, New, Bunning, Miller, Richardson, Beal, Dressman, Lindeman,Welch, Doherty, and many returning starters such as Hoge, Ehrlage, Pangallo, Abner's and many more I'm sure I've missed. What a team effort disproving all the doubters (non HHS ) thinking and saying this was CCH's year. Moreover I am certain those same naysayers wrote HHS off down 21 at half last night. Quite a season and such an improbable come back win for their 23rd Kentucky state championship.
  3. I agree with SB. Call it a mission, unfinished business or what you will. I also believe HHS has the best athlete on the field, Hoge, and a differnece maker he is. Go Birds!
  4. Interesting you would comment that Highlands hasn't played Trinity or X or BG. Based upon your analysis Elder or Cincinnati St. X or CC of Miami, Fla., wouldn't qualify as quality opponents? I dare say any of those 3 would be prohibitive favorites over Cooper. I would go so far as to say CC would compete very well against the KY "big 4". Like every school at every level Highlands plays district opponents and therefore cannot schedule only 6A schools as it seems you are advocating. My last comment is you cannot question the success of Highlands particularly where they play out of class size, a couple of opponents, every year and continue to add to their state championship runs.
  5. Congrats to Hoge. Excellent season in his first year as a starter. He is a game changer.
  6. I also agree with JOAT. I don't believe he has less talent around him. He has very good receivers and good running backs. Point in fact Kendall had an excellent game against Blazer. Not only was Kendall's effort impressive but it bodes well for the balance of the season and next year.
