10 Good
  1. Good rebound win for CovCath. Bir's numbers are quite impressive.
  2. I said in the game against NCC that the lack of rushing yards would play a factor. Wilson a year ago had 113 yards rushing for Dixie compared to Pike’s 30 yards. Last year against Beechwood, Dixie’s Wilson had 100 yards rushing for Dixie, but the margin of victory was much greater, 40 points compared to the 12 point win over NCC in 09. Even with a marginal running performance from Pike Dixie should win this by 14 points.
  3. I think the Breds have a real chance in this one. Dixie won a pretty close game year 19-7 with its' QB Wilson rushing for 113 yards in the game. I doubt his efforts are duplicated this Friday. In addition the Breds offense will be a lot better. Breds in a close one.
  4. Clyde this is the difference between you and old Bunning. Bunning would never hold back and says exactly what's on his mind in any forum. I'm sure he would view your desire to be cautious as the typical excuse for those unwilling to step up to the plate, no pun intended. If Bunning were a poster on BGP's his Username would be "Jim Bunning'.
  5. Being funny is one thing, sitting on a throne of lies is another. If someone told you that SK won 15-9 then that person was giving you inaccurate information. I figured you would start this kind of crap so I did keep some stats in preparation, which shows what a goofball I am. The Highlands varsity QB threw 16 TD's in 23 drives. On several drives where a touchdown was not scored Highlands first pass play landed them less than 10 yards from the goal line which in 7 on 7 means you get one play to score. He did throw two picks. His first three passes were 40 yard touchdown passes that took about a minute and a half. Highlands has 4 wide receivers that are as a group absolutely outstanding. Eli Schultz has been a very pleasant surprise. I didn't watch SK offense a ton, but I did make some observations. In the beginning the SK varsity QB was very frustrated. He threw his arms in the air at one point obviously showing his displeasure for what appeared to be a route that was not ran correctly. Someone else who watched the Highlands defense could probably tell you how long it took Simon Kenton to initially score but it seemed to be an inordinate amount of time. I noticed when Lawrence scrambled around, he on several occasions rushed up to the line of scrimmage where the guards would normally be and threw. His release is not real high, which could be problematic against big teams when he throws from this location. I realize this is a 7 on 7 and during a regular game he would more likely do something different. He did throw some balls with a lot of trajectory. Of all the teams Highlands has faced so far Lawrence certainly had the strongest arm. I cannot state enough the precision with which the Highlands wide receivers run their routes. In my opinion SK was the stiffest competition thus far, but to be quite honest they would come up woefully short. Highlands’s fans who will see this 2010 team for the first time against Trinity or Manual are going to pleasantly surprised. I wish Simon Kenton the best!
  6. Yes but that big 3 complimented each other very well. And were all probably a lot smarter then these 3 players. The Big 3 this year are all slashers while Bostons big 3 had a low post player, a sharpshooter and a scorer. Their styles won't be able to co-exist in my opinion. And Boston had some key role players on that team. Unlike this Miami team next year. Lastly its not like Miami is adding Bosh and James. They lost a lof of role players and will lose Beasley as well.
  7. I think that is a legitmate argument and I have a feeling I am not the only who thinks so either.
  8. There are a lot of key role players that are signing elsewhere while we all talk about this Lebron hoopla. If Lebron goes to Miami Beasley has to go, and they have very little money for everyone else. Ill take the Lakers over this team anyday of the week. You can't make it through the grueling playoffs with 3 studs and the rest being scrubs. Its not going to all fall into place like Bosh, Wade, and Lebron are hoping it should. And once this team loses a few, out come the egos and internal issues.
  9. I think he'll be a solid contributer next year. And I think right now Jermaine is as good as those two. He's a better scorer then those 2 are right now and thats what Boston needed. Another scoring Big Man.
  10. I think Wallace is retiring. And maybe they could sign T Mac or a David Lee type guy?
  11. Who do you think the Celtics could add then to keep up with the Heat?
  12. Ya that'd be interesting to see. And Bosh doesnt want to play the 5 and Shaq could do that there.
  13. With all of this going on watch out for Boston next year. They may sign Shaq and if so these veterans are going to have something to say about these young boys trying to get all cute and monopolize this league. Rondo, Pierce, Allen, Shaq, Garnett and Co. could hang with the Heat.
  14. Ha Ha that's great! I mean I hope he's ok with not being the man anymore. Because thats Wade's town and Wade is loving this. He gets to play with Lebron but on his turf and gets to still be the man.
