  1. It should be remembered that although Paintsville and Johnson Central are included Bath,Menifee and Fleming are not(at least it has been that way in the past).
  2. I believe that Fleming is part of the EKC for track and Cross Country but not basketball.
  3. I believe Derek Endicott of Lawrence Co was nominated in 2005.Lawrence was in the 16th at that time.
  4. Great job Austin! Where does this place him on the all time list?
  5. Actually my understanding was the score was something like 125-85(Scott Co) for five quarters-I know some people who are close to the Scott Co. program so I will try find out exactly what it was.Irregardless Elliott at worst is the third best team in the region and has a real shot at winning the 16th.When does Elliott play their district game?
  6. The Following 16th region Seniors started all or a high majority of their games as freshmen:VanHoose and Blair(Russell),Barker(Fairview),McDavid(Ashland),Blanton(Boyd). VanHoose and Blair avg. over 10.Blair may have avg. 5rebounds.McDavid if not at 10/5 was close. But I understand the point you are making. The stats these two have are outstanding and it is underscored even more by the fact they are freshmen.
  7. I agree-I doubt if Fairview will score 98 on Ashland either. But you need to remember that this was the equivalent of a 40 minute game,in essence an extra quarter.Fairview and Elliott had 80 at the end of regulation.Exactly one week earlier Ashland gave up 83 to Elliott in regulation.Elliott is just an offensive team.A nightmare to match up with.Weaknesses, yes they have a few but who doesn't?They can score from every position and rebound from every position. Why, especially in our region are people so much more impressed with a 49-45 game than they are a 102-98 game. After giving up 69 to Rowan earlier this year Coach Biggs of Ashland stated that the final margin was what was important.I agree.Too many people want to criticize the style of play of Elliott but IMO they would not be nearly as effective playing "Ball possession". As far as low scores at the region you have a point. But the length of the court and the vastness of the arena are also factors.
  8. Yes that was a very good game-One of the Faulkners' -(Evan I think) hit a 75 footer at the end of the third quarter.Cameron played very well and with CONFIDENCE!
  9. Fastbreak would be your best bet. Also if you check on the khsaa scoreboard they have many teams and their stats listed.I believe you could get all the above called for stats from that source.
  10. What statistics did I classify as a mistake?I merely stated an opinion and pointed something out that RH supporters themselves have stated on many occasions.I respect the defensive ability of Arthur and admire the strides he has made as a basketball player but I don't think he is the best defensive player in the region. FBall is right-some things are difficult to prove and therefore are very subjective.
  11. Game was 2 ots not three.Biggest lead for either team was 9(Fairview 18-10 and Elliott 59-50).Maynard hit big threesto tie the game at the end of regulation and at the end of the first ot. Some Unofficial Stats Elliott Co-5/27 on threes. Ferguson-35 points including 8 in the first OT. Ethan Faulkner-24 points good floor game. Maynard-17 points including 3 threes and 6-6 from the line. Evan Faulkner-12 points/solid game. Fairview-53% from the field. Hall-30 points (career high) including 5 threes. Barker-23 points/11 assists 7-7 from the line. Collins-18 points-good mid-range game. Armstong-16 points/a factor in the middle. Fairview played zone most of the game while Elliott started off in a diamond and one on Barker. After Hall scored 10 in the first Elliott played straight man for the most part. Very entertaining game and that was not the "same" Fairview team that played East on Friday.
  12. Last week Euton was 150-283.I would imagine that RH did not submit the stats correctly and he is probably 158-300.
