  1. Last year I predicted that there would not be 60 points put up against the Purples D all year. Most of you thought I was nuts, but i proved to be fairly accurate. No prediction like that again but i will predict another hard fought game by both teams. I have to say I was very impressed by the "X Factor" Great team, coaches and fans (and running back). Vic Anderson is the real deal but I still believe that Avery Hibbitt is as good or better. As my prediction was solid last year I will say that Hibbitt is best back in state. You can't really just look at his numbers but you have to also look at his touches. If he carried the ball as much as other backs in state he would easily be leading rusher. Many games he is finished by halftime or 3rd quarter. Bottom line is - two great teams and a few great players. It will be fun. As last year, I hope X goes 14-1. Good luck!
  2. How many people feel that it is a joke that Vic Anderson and Avery Hibbitt are not on first team offense as RB's. I am sure the other kids are talented (and seniors) but come on. Remember for you stat lookers - Vic and Avery played basically half games in many of their games due to blow outs. Not arguing with the voters but hard to not see these two kids on first team. What are your thoughts on this if any ...
  3. Dragonfire - I do understand that Purples always have second game but I did hear differently for next year due to traveling team coming from a couple of hours away. Ox and X fans - Purples get Hibbitt back as well as most skilled players (QB, other backs). Defense will loose corners but have linebackers and ends back. The big Hines kid (should get lineman of year award next year in state) will be back as well. Will be fun. Good luck in state this year to both!
  4. Yes, I know we could both get beat in Finals but you have to admit you are already ready to see this game next year. If you wasnt you would not have looked at this thread. Good luck x and purples in state - hope you both win. See you x fans next August in Bowling Green (our game is first next year so it wont be a late night for you) Cant wait to see Anderson and Hibbitt this weekend and next year!
  5. Give credit to B.E. fans. I think in the backof their mind they knew they were in trouble tonight but they were their to support their team. Some dude had the loudest horn i have ever heard and he would not lay off of it. BG was scoring at will and dude kept blowing the horn. I almost went to offer him cash to quit. I am sure you are proud of your team B. E. fans. Sorry you ran into a greased machine tonight. You have to give our Defense credit. Though you moved ball - BG never felt like you were going to score in first 3 quarters. Our running game is for real as well. Real test is against Burke and the Catholic kids. All pass vs All run Hyped QB (for real/Burke) vs Hyped Defense (for real/all 11) Differnece - Running team = clock management. Hibbitt goes for 150 next week and Purps bring hold some rings.
  6. BG D will have to frustate Burke. I am confident they can. I think BG can score - if they start trading punches (TD's) Ill take purples. The lower the score the more interesting it will get. I know all about Burke but what about their running game? Purples in win 35 - 20
  7. Bowling Green Purples - I think will have similar year to this year. Defense may not be quite as impressive but should be fine. My bold and bias prediction is they will repeat as state champs improving their record next year to 15-0 bating St. X the first game of year. Cant imagine Avery Hibbitt and Vic Anderson a year older, stronger and faster. They will be in class all by themself. Like it or not, you know its true~!
  8. No way is Taylor better than Anderson. Hibbitt is as good as Anderson. Anderson will get free scholly to big school because of the X factor. If BG wins state and is there again next year Hibbitt will get nice school looks. Taylor is good but watch Friday night - you will see the difference in the two
