  1. Who are the referees? John Burton, Gary Crum, and Wendall Wallen?
  2. Spike has his constituents -- and he makes it clear where his loyalties are, haha.
  3. You haven't started an argument -- I actually do agree with you, I am just saying that I think HC will win because they currently are the hottest team in the region. Cov. Cath. proabably has a better chance of winning, but I am going strictly with a gut feeling; and I don't have much of a gut, so it may not be the correct feeling.
  4. Yep, I have, and I think it is going to be a great game. It is a tough one though, because two of the regions best, play each other in the first round. I wish both teams luck, but I think Holy Cross will pull this one out. I say this because they have won 12 of 13 since their loss to Covington Catholic early in the year, and they have won their last 9 games. Nothing against Covington Catholic. Have a good day.
  5. You'd be crazy to pick anyone but HC with the confidence the are playing with right now. HC by 6.
  6. I had a conference there when it first opened. It is a great venue, and will be a wonderful atmosphere. Have a good day.
  7. Holy Cross is the hottest team in the region right now, I think they beat Scott by double digits. Momentum is tough to overcome, confidence is the key when you play down the stretch. Holy Cross has won 8 in a row, and Scott has lost 8 of their last 10.
  8. Well, I accept your remarks, and I guess I will agree to disagree on this one. Have a good one.
  9. He is a great coach, and I look for him to make some adjustments. With young guns, trying to put in a new defense is difficult, and if you scratch it then you show that you don't believe in it. I don't believe in it, but someone does, and maybe it will come around, or it will be changed. I'll let Coach Runyon do the coaching, unless he calls me and solicits my opinion -- which isn't going to happen.
  10. Well I am not going there, Coach Runyon is basically my second father, but I will say that UK could use an extra coach or two, haha. I'll stand by the Tigers, but I am a little aggravated with the defensive side of the ball. We shall see.
  11. I think your post is primarily true, and I appreciate your ability to explain your point with clarity. I agree that this is a unique situation, I would, however, disagree with you on your analysis that the team isn't buying what Coach Runyon is selling -- I certainly do believe that they are buying it, but I guess we will see if it comes together in the end. You are right on the point about defense, and I have harped on it for a number of years with this team. Coach knows I hate the type of defense the team is playing, and by design it is a containment defense that is used to slow down teams and make them take bad shots...the only problem is, Painstville is a team who has always created turnovers, played up tempo, and gained momentum on the defensive end by turning turnovers into points. We have seen very minimal positive results from the zone defense we play this year, and I would absolutely be ecstatic to see us run something else. Someone on the bench obviously thinks this defense is good, I just can't figure it out -- and I am a relatively intelligent human.
  12. I agree with your commentary on the Tigers defense, but not so much on your analysis of their offense. The fact is, if they play defense then they don't have 9 losses, they only have about 3.
