Don't know if they tried to throw 100 times( 😀 ), but I do know it was a wet night in Goshen.  This was the first game in inclement weather for the Mustangs.  Not making an excuse (I didn't attend the game), but I'm guessing it was a factor.

    It shouldn't have been.

They play in a swimming pool !!!

Meet the face of Trinity football for the next few years. He may look 10 years old, but Zane Johnson played like a seasoned veteran last night, throwing for 250 yards and four scores in the biggest environment of his young career. Imagine where he goes from here...

To be honest, I don’t see a reason for a mouthpiece.  It was useless when I played and it remains so today. I think the thought was that people would knock their teeth out or something. But I never wore one in practice and only wore one in games because it was required. Practice was a lot more dangerous in those days than games. I can report that I still have all my teeth and never had a concussion.

    Concussions.

We had the discussion about responsibility last week after 3 Dixie players had to leave the game due to lack of pads.  IMO, these kids are old enough to bear the responsibility of being properly equipped as they know what is required.  The coaches shouldn't have to go up and down the sideline checking pads and mouthpieces like they do in peewee football.

What is the purpose of the Rule then?

    They are kids.

Understand there was a JV game a few years ago - where the Visiting team arrived and the players DID NOT HAVE HIP PADS.  The game was not played.  Who is that on ??

Seeing those stats and the number of turnovers Bryan Station had puts a damper on this score. If Bryan Station doesn't have all those turnovers plus allowing an onside kick recovery, this looks more like a 21-7 type of matchup.

True  - but that's a big part of it.

    Who is prepared?

    Who doesn't make mistakes?
