  1. Dudley's record speaks for itself. Approaching 300 wins and two rings. Bell County was an also ran before he got there. They play a tough schedule every year. He is one of the all time greats in Kentucky. Like him or not his way of doing things works.

I agree with this, M'boro and Pinevile had the strong programs before Hilton came to Bell, he laid the groundwork for success at Bell and has done well to maintain it. IMO he is the backbone of Bell football and a very good coach.

  2. Good to see Coach Pennington and the Wildcats get back on the winning track. I really like the way he coaches his team...with intensity and class. I think the Wildcats could be a darkhorse in the 51st district.

I don't know if darkhorse would be correct, this district seems to be a toss-up, with Bville having all their players they should be the favorite, the other three are about the same IMO.

  3. Greg has been following in the footsteps of Joe Siler.

I believe that he went to Corbin through the 6th grade, moved to Tenn. for the 7th, came back to KY and went to North Laurel during the 8th grade, Madison Central until Nov. of 9th grade, then back to Corbin until this summer when he made his pilgrimage to Whitley. Next stop.....................my guess would be Lynn Camp.

What about a free agent move to Knox Central? Someone told me his dad played there years ago. They could use a big man inside.

  4. I also agree that the districts should be seeded and not just a blind draw.Smaller schools will have to work harder to get better and make the tourney but the better teams should deffinantly be rewarded and also be representing their districts. The tourney should deffinantly be the best of the best playing for the top spot!:thumb:

I agree 100% with this post. All districts should be required to seed by the KHSAA. We should have the best teams or the ones playing the best at tourny time in the regional.

  5. I've been in the new KC gym twice this year and it does not seem small to me at all. The entire school looks to be a very nice place. Outside of Miller and Scalf the panthers are a small team, Corbin should be able to do what ever they want inside, B'ville had their way inside with a maybe 5'10 post player. Coach Elam will have his team and the crowd fired up no doubt about that, I don't think he cares much for Corbin.

  6. The basketball team exists because people (mainly those you want to move to the upper level) donate large amounts of cash to the University to make it what it is today. Take away that money and you won't have a team on the floor that the students will even show up to see.

I think I am confused, does UK take all this donated large amounts of cash and buy players? If so we need a 6'9 power forward who can score inside and out. LOL :jump: :jump:
