McRay is a solid player, but he tries to do too much. Instead if carrying the young Williansburg team he needs to try and work with them to make them a better TEAM.

There is so much talk about Souths' Hammonds, Profitt, and Smith, what about Barley and Hamlin for Corbin? I thought Hamlin was suppossed to be Corbins' go-to-guy this year? What's with that situation?

Everyone keeps referring to Souths' Big 3, Hammonds, Proffitt, and Smith? What about Corbin's Hamlin and Barley? I thought that Hamlin was supposed to be Corbin's go-to-guy this year? Whats going on with that situtation?

There are many star players in the 13th region, but who are the ones that mabey don't stand out as much or go to a weaker school and don't draw alot of attention?

The Campers played a good game last night. They played faster and more agressive than Williamsburg. I say the officails let that game get out of hand though, there was almost a fight on the floor. How about Williamsburg's sophmore Jacob Teague having 28 points I think and the Campers Craig Bargo having......well I lost count.

Lynn Camp, Williamsburg, Pulaski County, Jellico. These four teams will play in a round robin tourny for the next three days. Any predictions?
I would have to put Lynn Camp or Williamsburg taking this one home.

I dont think I'd put Lynn Camp in the top 10. A young Williamsburg team only lost by three and the Lynn Camp JV squad lost.

You've just got to love those stats!

What about Williamsburg & South? They both have talented younger players that can compete with Corbin or Whitley.

I agree, i believe that the Sophmore and Freshman at Whitley right now is a very talented groupl. I believe that the 50th district will be a much closer race in the next 2 or 3 years.

Whitley County will travel to Williamsburg Tuesday to face off against Coach Robinson and the Jackets. From what I've saw of both teams I expect this to be a close one. McRay, Kilgore and Teague all looked good against Burgin and with Whitley missing three players this should be interesting. :ylsuper:

I agree. Williamsburg and Whitley both have several talented young players that are often overlooked for the more publicized young South Laurel and Corbin players. In the next couple of years, I think the these 4 teams will be much more even and much more competitive. Lebanion and Prewitt from Whitley County are great young players that will only continue to improve. Teague from Williamsburg is a 6'6 sophomore with excellent potential, Pettit and Taylor are talented Freshman. Crawford, Manns, and Johnson from Corbin are great players but there are others in the area that are sometimes overlooked.
