  1. Just a question but, if there were more than 5 players on the court at the end of the game, with only 2+ seconds to go on the clock could a player have just been prematurly celebrating and not actually participating in the game? I can see the bench getting excited and jumping up, maybe moving onto the floor. I hate to see controversy at the end of what seems to have been a great game.

  2. I listened to the game on the radio and it was exciting. I bet the atmosphere was great at the actual game. It sounded like Corbin and South played their best and both should be proud. As for the refs and whatever calls were seen as questionable, someone posted on another thread a while back that, "There are only 3 people watching the game with their eyes, everyone else is watching with their hearts". I know that it's a bit sappy but it sounded nice.

  3. Here here Nomorenoless!! I agree he will indeed outlast Whitley's coach...if you want to check a long list of coaches check that one!! I think Maxey was the last so called long term coach.

Being close to the situation I think Coach Robinson will be at the Burg for quit some time. If someone is talking they are doing it outside the Jacket Nest I can promise that.

I agree, LuvBasketball. No one that I know of is unhappy. We are all looking forward to next season WITH Coach Robinson at the head of our little family.

  4. I listened to the last part of the game on the radio on the way home from work. I thought that I was going to have to pull over till it was over. Sounds like it was a great game for both teams.. Good luck to Corbin tomorrow against South. I hope that they all rest well tonight. I can't imagine Madison Johnson calming down any time soon. That's once in a lifetime shoot. I hope someone got it on film for him.

  5. I don't think that the age difference is as noticable at the college level. The difference in the levels of physical and mental ability is greater between a 15 year old and a 18 year old than it is between a 20 year old and a 23 year old. Why do so many people site the fact that the Redhounds age is a liabilty for them when it somes to playing a team such as South Laurel? That's also been an issue in the game predictions in their game against Bell.

  6. I tried to dismiss the 13th district statement.....I think we have a parent who is mad about not holding their kid back and wants to look for someway to justify their actions....but Bubba is not a smart man and does not know much.

You are a smart man, Bubba, and thanks for excusing the 13th district statement. We all make mistakes every now and then. You're also right about the parent thing but not about the justifing. I should have held back but like I said before, now that I know better, I can do better.

  7. Why even make a statement like this on this thread? I agree with Bubba. But making a statement like this on this thread is redicilous. So what if there is an age difference ... the bottom line is the class and what if Watts played in the 13th District like you stated ... then I can guarantee yoy he wouldn't be playing in the 13th Region ... that's for sure.

In what thread would you prefer that I ask this question? It wasn't meant to take away from the talent of Johnson, Crawford, or anyone else for that fact. It was what is was, a question. I saw the article on Johnson, which I thought was very nice, and the age thing came to mind. I guess it's a personal thing for me. I realize that 90% of the kids are held back but I have a hard time not comparing ages. I'm not whining, Bubba. I can't change the past. Now that I know better, I can do better. Age does make a difference. If it didn't, then why hold back to start with? And as for you, Les, I meant to say the 50th. District. You know what I meant. I had the 13th. on my mind because of the regionals. I wouldn't be so quick to point out everyone elses typos when you could stand to purchase a dictionary yourself.
