I’m 93 Bullitt Central was 0-10 and won their first round playoff game. They lost the next week to North Harden.

I have no problem with all 5 suggestions, but I would also throw in something else. I would eliminate districts & find another way to determine playoffs. I like the idea of conferences like Indiana has, where teams can be in the same conference but different classes. I don’t necessarily like their blind tournament draw for their sectionals though. For the most part, districts in football just aren’t competitive overall, especially in the lower classes.
This! Get rid of districts and let schools form their own league/conferences. Then use a system maybe similar to Ohio to determine who makes it in. The elimination of districts could solve a number of issues.

Winner is second in the district.

Has to be the most lopsided district in the state.
Beechwood’s would give them a run for their money in that department.

There are a small amount of teams that are more athletic than Scott Co. Even the ones that are there is a smaller amount that can prepare for them.
-
WoFo isn’t going to hold Scott Co to 10 points. They also aren’t anywhere close to the Douglas teams Scott Co played. I do think it’s going to be a physical nasty game no matter the score that will set the tone for a rivalry over the next three seasons.

I’m really interested in this game. I have the feeling this is going to turn into a “no love lost” time of series for these two programs. Similar to the early meeting between Scott Co and Douglas. You get two physical teams that want to bully teams on offense and defense it can get heated.

They are in sister districts.

That’s not a good sign.

I’m always kind of surprised by the lack of faith about Scott Co every year. They had a slight dip in talent when Great Crossing opened but that has changed. They are extremely well coached with an offense that is very difficult to replicate. Defensively it’s not complex and they will fly to the ball and bully you.

That escalated quickly

I believe the policy now is if Thunder or lightning happens it is 30 minutes from the last thing to happen.

Important decision to make for tomorrow...do I go to Moonbird for dinner before the game, or go to Kellie's Homestead? 🤔
Moonbird is better. Nothing amazing but still better.

Don’t you have wait 2 weeks before eligible to play?
No. You just have to be cleared by the KHSAA however long that takes.

I just want to know what Dixie will do in pregame after Highlands punts the ball 20 yards into their pregame routine and all players chase the ball down?
Has this happened before? When?

Head injury from the first half of the Newport game.
Hopefully he is ok. It looked like the Graves kid didn’t even play that game. Hopefully he’s ok too.

I fully expect flags to fly. This one is personal for both.
Why is that? I feel like there is a story here.

The intentional grounding rule was change last year or this year. If he’s outside the pocket and not illegally conserving time (officials' discretion) then all is good. It’s a trickle down effect just like all sports.
This and the ball has to cross the line of scrimmage.

Trinity is like a big version of Beechwood or Beechwood is like a small version of Trinity. Tons of talent, not very much D1 talent, but always well coached and tough to beat.
That’s a great analogy.

I’m sure there are more….
*also not all these guys stars but the point is they didn’t start as Freshman at Trinity.
Its a HUGE step from MS ball to HS especially against the schedule T plays.
I agree it’s a big step but off that list how many played QB? The two Brohms but I’m not any of the others did (I believe) Gardner (who was mentioned elsewhere) played RB/FB. I was simply referring to the statement of D1 star QBs
Trinity has had some dudes over its history but it’s never really been known for producing D1 talent. They always had really good HS players with a few D1 guys (I think only two D1 QBs) in there. Moore and the Brohms being the top D1 talent they produced.

What’s shocking to me is that T has to roll out a FRESHMAN QB.
To me (an outsider) this tells me that the kids ahead of him grade wise have not progressed under this staff?
T has had D1 STARS play QB for them and a Freshman has not started.
Past Brohm who are the D1 stars that played QB at Trinity? They had some really good HS QBs but I can’t remember any one of them being D1 stars.

It’s at Corbin so you have to take that into account. Anywhere other than Corbin and I think Douglas gets a 3 TD relatively early. Douglas this year is tested differently than they were allowed in the past.

On this point, the question came up in the Beechwood SK game. In high school, if the offense substitutes, are they required to wait for the defense to substitute if they also want to substitute a player?
No. There is no such rule in HS. Though you will see some officials pseudo apply the rule.

If you could change one thing about Kentucky High School Football what would it be?
in KY Football (High School)

The problem of this is districts. There are some loaded districts and some weak districts. Do away with districts and it makes more sense. There are a number of districts where 3 and sometimes 4 would beat the the 2 and maybe 1.
