Come on feed!!! .... I live in Bullitt County and root for Bullitt East who North beat in the first round and you are right .. I haven't heard about this Brown kid before tonight. He is very good.
Coming from a team with a good quarterback and not so good receivers , watching LO receivers really brings home one of the very important reasons the LO QB has had the success he has this year.
-
I think that is giving credit to a WR
yes, it's obvious if we watch the game. First I've heard of his name. In general, this whole season, all I've heard about is the QB.
-
Why dont we hear more about LO receivers. Rarely if ever read their names on this board, but Corey Robinson's stats are definitely related to his receivers, but they don't seem to get much credit from the LO fans,at least not on these boards.

How did Mathews, the QB, look like tonight?
-
Yeah!! North Bullit scored again! I'm not even a NB fan but I'm enjoying watching Lone Oak having to play against a little competition this year! But the announcers are indicating NB haven't been that great either.
-
He says he has no desire to go anywhere and he isn't interested in any other job.
Do you mean that's what he is saying in the press conference?
-
Hope he ends up at EKU, they are having a fantastic year!!!
Does he want to go to EKU? I know he went to an invited game to WKU, but They invited alot of recruits. I read there were 100 in attendance. I wonder if WKU is seriously talking to him at all? I would guess he would prefer WKU over EKU given the opportunity, since they are D1A.

Ky Mr Football 2007
Who actually decides who gets Mr. Football?
-
Apparently no new scholarship offers in several weeks for Robinson. More may come but he may end up at EKU.I would guess he would take EKU over Murray and Gardner-Webb.
-
Outstanding statistics plus some nice upset victories.
So do you think this will lead to scholarship offers and if so, from what division?
-
Very much so!
I thought so but he's producing the stats, so didn't know if college coaches would think they would work with him on technique/mechanics in college. I've heard others say though that his coaches should have got him out of all the sidearm throwing in middle school.
-
Has Mathews ,QB, from Shelby had any scholarship offers?
-
I don't know Matthews numbers, but he had well over 300 yards and 3 (?) TDs. Very accurate, but his mechanics are bad.....#23 had a great game for the Rockets.....MC defense was very bland, not much pressure on Matthews and couldn't cover either.
The injury bug finally caught up to the Indians, especially upfront...there were kids playing tonight that I hadn't seen all year....Central had a very solid junior class and will return a lot of key players in Coldiron, Mays, Simpson, Harrison, Warford, and Cox coming off an injury. However, the same problems seemed to exist this year as the past two seasons...
Halftime score was 17-14 Rockets......Shelby dominated the 3rd and put the game away there....Shelby fans traveled well and outnumber the home crowd IMO....Good luck to Coach Shipley next week at Boone County.:thumb:
I've not seen him play but heard others talk about poor mechanics and sidearm throwing. I haven't heard of any college offers, will this technique/mechanics make a difference to the college coaches, such as EKU?
-
Anyone know the score?
-
Menece just intercepted a Madison Central pass.
Is Hope the qB?
-
Cody Menece(sp) scores the touchdown for Shelby County. The extra point is good.
Shelby County 24
Madison Central 14
9:40 left in the third quarter.
Are all the Shelby touchdowns passing Tds from Mathews?
-
Ricky Rhodes scored the last touchdown for Madison Central. The other scores I don't know because I was late tuning in the game.
Thanks! So how's the Shelby Co qb looking?
-
Thanks for the updates. If you know, can you report whos making the touchdowns?
-
There seemed to be a slew of problems with madison Southern this year. The thing that will make this such a intriguing job, is the young talent that was on the team. They all played this year, and have experience. This will benefit the next coach who comes in.
There are about 16 total players left (Jv and varsity combined)after the seniors leave. Of course, this doesn't count incoming freshman and any that decide to play with new coaches.
-
QB7fan, you seem to be close to the program...are there any current assistants capable of taking over?
I have heard a few names thrown around but none within the program.....this is a very good paying job and I expect a lot of applicants.
I wouldn't think they would have any assistants that could take the head coach position, but I think the head coach is recommending one of them. It was a very discouraging year for the players. They have 10 seniors (starters)graduating and that will be difficult for the upcoming team next year.
-
No surprise, I have been hearing this all season long.......Southern has the ability to win 7 or 8 games a year in 4A.....hopefully they don't hire another EKU assistant, that hasn't worked.
This year there were alot of talented seniors who worked hard and the team as a whole should have had a lot better record than they did.

The word on the street is that The College of Holy Cross is not only looking at Luke Stein from Highlands, but also looking at Eric Oldiges and Jeff West from Covington Holy Cross.
Isn't Holy Cross in the Pioneer league like Morehead and doesn't offer athletics scholarships?
-
Mechanics and Technique.
Sounds like you've seen him play. Do you agree with a previous poster that he should be getting offers from Western, Eastern, and Middle Tenn State ?

Well, I'm going to guess that LO scored again and is now ahead! But I'm really for North Bullitt tonight.
