I don't like any of it no matter who the sender is or who the receiver is.  With that said, it is part of the game and people need to get over it.

I love the trash talking.  From all sides.  I wasn’t mad when Caitlin did it and I’m not mad at Angel when she does it. It’s just part of the game when it comes to competitive sports.  Even more so at that level.

I work in a factory where people talk trash to each other about their quality of work.

Far as I can tell talking trash is a part of society.

  2. IMO some of this selective outrage is definitely gender related.  People have a hard time seeing women act like the men do and will never be comfortable seeing that image.

IMO a lot of this selective outrage is also race related.  Folks can try to dismiss the racial component all they want to but at the end of the day there are thousands of people who cannot stomach the sight of a black person talking down to or disrespectfully to a white person.  Even more so if the person is a beloved white woman.   Like it or not there are still people in this country who demand that black people know their place and act accordingly at all times.

To dismiss the racial component is being naive of our present day times in this country.

While that is a connection and I'm sure Mr Booher will throw it out there, if you look at what he is returning at Pikeville next year I don't think it will happen.  They return several juniors that were in the 15th Championship game this year.

    I hope you are right.

Not sure what rumors you’re referencing but I think it will generate a lot of good interest. As noted, great facilities and some nice talent as they return everyone next year. And it looks good for the next several years. And as far as basketball, I think they have one of the more passionate fan bases in the 12th. That’s worth a lot for a coach.

The rumors throughout this thread is what I am referencing.

    Names associated with this job:

    Kasey McCray

    Steve Adams

    Josh Cook

    Austin Sparrow

    Elisha Justice

This job hasn’t been open a week and already we have these high quality coaches mentioned as possible candidates.

If the rumors of these fellas has legs then Mercer County is in an outstanding position to choose their next coach.

And as you said it will generate good interest and good competition to land this job.

Wow if that is legit then he is for sure the number one choice.  I think Cook is one of the best coaches in the state and he was beloved during his time at Mercer.  I can't see him leaving GRC but he would be welcomed back for sure.

If all of the rumors have legs then Mercer County is in an outstanding position for their next coach.  Kasey McRay would be a great choice IMO and he’s like #5 on the short list of names we have so far.

Great time to be a Titan fan!

Doesn't each district get to pick every 4 years?  that's the way it is in the 10th and is why it normally rotates 2 out of 4 years.  Its also why the 10th's northern KY district held it at Holmes last year, which is crazy in my book.

Nope.  In the 12th it has been agreed to that Pulaski and Lincoln Counties will host region because they are conveniently located in the central area of the region making travel pretty much the same for most schools.

I still say add Mercer County to the rotation along with McCreary Central.   Let those 4 schools rotate the region tournaments.

2nd biggest gym in the region behind Pulaski Co.  I still feel like the best atmosphere for championship night is @ Lincoln Co.  Probably because it's a little tighter.

I do agree that the best atmosphere is Lincoln.  I don’t think it is debatable to be honest.

All very nice but gym doesn't look large enough to me for a normal regional.

It is large enough.  Without looking at numbers I feel certain it can hold as many people as Lincoln County does and they have plenty of parking as well.

IMO there is no good reason to not have added Mercer County into the rotation of gyms that host the region tournament.  The excuses about wanting a central location for the tournament is a bogus excuse.
