I wouldn't say that he out coached him.

Although I couldn't figure out why Central drove the ball the full length of the field on the ground the way they did and then tried to pass it into the endzone resulting in two loss of down penaltys.

Is Scott county's kicker only a sophmore? He had a couple of kickoffs that went through the uprights. with no or little wind.

No, I dont believe so. I believe it is first touching by K and it becomes R's ball at that spot.

A very small portion of this incident was because of kids. This is mostly because of mamma bear and pappa bear trying to defend their cub after he has done something wrong. I was told that 2 kids were kicked off team beacuse of said helmet throwing and showing disrepect toward coaches. Kids were told they were welcome back on team if they made an apology to the team and coaches.

What years did you play there? Wilson Sears' last seaosn at Bourbon was 1984. Nochta came in 85 ... they didn't have a wiining season in 86 or 88 but they did have a winning season in 87 (7-4)

I graduated in 88 but I guess I was a freshman for Sears last year then played for Nochta 85, 86 , 87. Must I dust off my year books to confirm or records for those years? We did have a winning season in 86....

One of the biggest problems with this group of young men is: One of the previous Head coaches did not play a freshman or J.V. schedule for I believe 2 or 3 years. Those kids are now juniors and seniors and the past class of seniors. I also BELIEVE there was some turmoil surrounding The Hilton Era and teachers in the school system complaining about "their" compensation package. I wonder if the Board is gun shy when it comes to supporting the football program or sports in general for that matter.

The youth of today is not the same. Most of them live in the fast pace world of cell phones, internet, and high tech games. If they want something they get it and they get it right now. They don't want to work for anything. And most of them don't respect anything or anyone. Most of that I blame on parenting. Oh I'lllll quit rambling on because I'm starting to make myself upset.

I did hear that several players had quit the team this past week. Don't know any details. Has anybody heard anything.

I played there under Wilson Sears and John Nochta during the Mid to late 80's and we had winning seasons 86,87,88 6-5 8-3 7-4

Ram, I just wanted to let you know that your face shield on your helmet is Illegall. That is an unsportsmanlike penalty for failure to wear the proper equiptment. All face shields shall be clear in color with no tint. 15 yard penalty on the kick off. Or I could just ask you to correct the problem before the kick off.:lol::lol::lol:

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone.

There was a little bit of everything in this game. Circus catches by both teams. Interceptions that turned into fumbles, muffed punt receptions that resulted in turnovers, stripped balls deep in opponets area, missed FG with :07 for the win, near safety late in 4th for the win, It was a hard fought contest that was played clean for a cross town rival. You hate that there is a loser in a game like this. Best of luck to both teams.

So if the receiver sets then moves toward the line of scrimmage 1/2 a step then resets for more than one second and the defense is not drawn offsides in a close game. You say that you would call illegal motion. Or would you swallow your whistle because their has been no advantage gained.

Is it false start if a wide out after becoming set, takes a step toward the line of scrimmage then resets before the snap.

Isn't that a week 6 game?

The newer ball according to dealers, is a composite material which can be sold at a slightly lesser price to the schools than full leather. The new balls have the same grip, size and feel, and hold up 1000% better in foul weather. Just like the change to composite basketballs, they simply hold up better to elements. Every shoot with an old Wilson Jet after it was used a while? Like shooting a pool cue. The color of the new football is simply a byproduct of an improved testing and manufacturing process.
