Lincoln County fans are just as hungry as the Montgomery. Just like Montgomery they have not had a lot to cheer about the last 5 or 6 years.

Lincoln does travel well. I do not know what was going on at N Laurel but we had 3 times more fans than they did Friday night. Montgomery has had an excellent run through the district with a very impressive win against Madison Central. Lincoln has also had an impressive run through district with a win over GRC which beat Montgomery. I believe that Lincoln will be the best defense and offense that they have played this year. With that said...

IMO, I don't think that Whitley has the athletes that GRC has, but not many teams do. GRC cannot afford anymore losses in the district if they want to make the playoffs.

Calhoun had a great game for the Patriots. I do not know his stats but in the first half he ran for a touchdown, caught a touchdown pass, and returned an interception for a touchdown. Great win. 4-0 in the district.

I believe that GRC has the team to beat Mad. Central this year. Greene is a very good back. Man he runs hard. His knees never stop pumping.

I am going to go with Lincoln. Maybe to much for N. Laurel. But North can make it a close game if they play well.

IMO, Lincoln could very well play with these two teams. I really think that it would be a toss up. they have enough speed on their team to balance up with Danville or Mercer.

Great win Patriots. But we have to play better in the second half. Hats off to GRC. They never quit when Lincoln got up big.

I don't know if anyone else can make that claim. But those are also games that they would have won a few years ago. They will be okay though as long as they keep playing hard. That level of competition can only help come playoff time. I do not know who they have left but I don't see them not making it.

I think that this will be a great football game with big playoff implications. Both have had big wins against district teams. NL will have to clean up all the turnovers that they had against GRC. Both teams play pretty good defense so I see a low scoring game.

If not for a late hit call in last years game that gave GRC a first down and led to a score, Lincoln I believe would have won that game. With that being said I believe Lincoln is much better this year that last year. Braxton Miller, who went out with an injury the second game of the season last year, has been a big difference maker in this years Patriot play. Lincoln will have to control the clock and contain the speed of GRC to win the game. It will be a hard fought game by both teams. A district title may be on the line or at least a chance for a title.

I really believe that if the top three played it would be a toss up in who would win. I would have loved to have seen them play.

Bell County will definitely win the kicking game. Not Rock's strong point. I think that Rock will win this game though. Bell must have played well against Henry Clay but does not seem to have played well in their other games. But then again these two teams like to get after each other. It will be a slobber knocker!!

Lincoln County has two excellent backs, Braxton Miller and Trent Calhoun. Friday against South Laurel Miller had 258 yards 4 touchdowns and Calhoun had 175 yards 4 touchdowns. That made Millers 2nd game with 200 plus this year. I don't know their totals but they are good.

Lincoln did what ever they wanted to on the ground in this game. I would not be surprised if they had 500 plus rushing, with both Braxton Miller and Trent Calhoun both near or over the 200 mark each. The defense played really well against the pass after the first couple of series.

For his age, a sophomore, Rick Bowling at South Laurel is the best High School quarterback I have ever seen.. Age hardly has anything to do ith it. he is accurate, mobile, and runs the offense smoothly. If you have not seen him, he is impressive.

I am going to go with Clark County. I believe that they have more talent than Montgomery but probaly so did Madison Central. If Montgomery does not have a let down after such a big victory it could be a different story. I never thought Garrard Co. would have played Clark as tough as they did, but its seems they stuck with Clark the majority of the game. If Montgomery can stick around and not let the big play kill them they have a chance. If they did it against Mad. Central, maybe they can again. But I am still going to go with Clark County.

Braxton Miller and Trent Calhoun of Lincoln County can take it to the house on any given play. All they need is a tiny seam and they are gone. Not many other players are going to catch them.
