  1. What are everyone's thoughts?! I know Powell has one of the best pitchers in the region, Corey Brewer, not to mention one of the best hitters, hitting somewhere around .400 last season. Could end up the best in the 14th (all-around)IMO. Powell also has Benningfield who has a rocket for an arm. Watch out for Powell, could be a repeat.

Yah, these two are tough, there is also a few good arms in Estill along with Couch in Perry.

  2. Its kinda hard to compare Jasper and Meeks because they are two TOTALLY different types of players. meeks is the more of the shooter and athletic player and Jasper is more of the guy that will make and create a play. I personally like both of the players and can turn into solid teammates...

:thumb: Jasper creates for Meeks to knock down the jumper. Jasper will become a complete player once he makes defenders respect his shot and when that day comes watch out.

  3. Meeks is playing well, these freshmen are coming around :ylsuper: . I still feel that Jasper is doing a good job on the point.

Yes Jasper is still doing a wonderful job, its just that another freshman has stepped up and is playing ball like Jasper has been doing for a while.:thumb:

  4. And who would you suggest?

Well, off the top of my head no one, but I'm sure there is someone. My problem is the Reds have had this great hitting team for 3 or 4 years now and they haven't been getting any close to making the playoffs till this year when they gained in pitching and lost some hitting (Kearns). You can't make the playoffs when you score 10 runs and game but give up 11 runs a game, so lets try scoring 4 or 5 runs a game and giving up 2 or 3 that might work. IMO

  5. After watching it again on DVR should have been 2.4 or 2.5 on the clock. Also the timekeeper was a little slow starting it on the Duke inbound with 4.4.

Yah, that is how I went back and looked at it. DVR is great.:thumb:

  6. How can the clock go from 1.8 to 4.4?

Maybe 1 or possible 2 seconds.

I was thinking the same thing. The scorekeeper didn't start the clock right when Clemson's Hamliton caught it before shooting. If you look at in slow-motion the clock didn't start until the ball was going down to the basket. Then when it cleared the basket there was 4.4 which means the clock is spose to stop. The first time he didn't stop it and let it go down to 1.8. The refs were right in this call it was the clock keeper with the slow finger. I say about 3.5 seconds or less should've been on the clock which as we see would have mattered.

  7. It's always a struggle. I've been there and done that!! All I can say is if you want a good parking place and a seat, you'd better get there early. The gym seats about 1200....and that's packing them in there. In the '99 championship game between Owsley and Wolfe you couldn't have wedged another person in the Palace with a shoe horn.

I vagually remember that cause I was young but I do remember and it was jammed packed in there.

  8. I have to take the Pirates in this one. Estill is a hard place to play and the Pirates seemed to handle themselves pretty well there in their last meeting. You have to watch Estill though, they're very dangerous when Berryman and Christopher are hitting. I'll take Powell by 10, given that the game is in Stanton.

    ( 68-58 )

I agree, maybe alittle closer. With the game in Stanton it will be hard for Estill to come out on top.
