Would this be his list? Just wondering for myself. 2 or 3 of them I could see but not sure about the others.
IN NO ORDER
UNC
Kansas
Duke
UCLA
UCONN
Michigan St.
The last two are on there but is that because of the coach?

As Rob Snider (sp.) said in Waterboy someone wake his butt up we have a press confernce to take care of.
-
Yes, that's what I meant. Thanks. The years are going by way too quick.
Yeah trust me I know. :thumb:
-
March 27th 2002 I believe.
Wouldn't that be 1992?
-
I'm ready for Cal to wake up...:thumb:
Yeah is he a late sleeper or what.
-
I think you are underestimating the size of LRCW's gut.
:laugh::laugh:

I guess they could be as low as a 7. I couldn't follow the link, do they have a list?
No just said it was 7th and Arizona is 12th.
-
Would Izzo be a #2? I think he is to big a prospect to go into a job as the #2.
I would think Izzo would be 1A and that is only because he is not as sexy a pick as Cal is. You know the whole I don't like the style ball he plays thing.

That alone is a fact check problem and not true.
Go back and you will find that other Final Fours that were vacated are:
1971 Villanova and Western Kentucky University (Players signed with agents)
1962(?) St. Josephs was vacated. Don't recall the reason right now.
Was the UCLA spot in 1980 eventually vacated?
He said one of two current coaches to have it done. Not all time.

This is a last gasp, they lose everything if he leaves.
Agreed!:thumb::thumb:

Man that is double what the highest paid coach gets now. That is alot of jack and I find it hard to believe that they are offering that much.
-
He was always the safety net. They had several other targets to go through first.
Izzo completely out of the question?

I'm not really nervous, but I assumed it would be wrapped up yesterday. I didn't expect him to pull out the 'ole "sleep on it" card.
I'm trying to see what I can find out right now.
Yeah that sleep on it card was out of left field.

Barring a complete disaster, Calipari will be announced officially as the coach today. It isn't about money (thank God). It is about power and prestige at one of the top 5 jobs in the country.
I am being told that the decision has already been made, but he is making sure that Memphis makes a good hire for its program.
Sounds like you are a little more worried than before. Am I reading that right? I am sure, like you, that he is going to be announced today. But the longer this goes the more unsure I am.
-
I'm unable to listen to the link. What does Forde have to say?
Says that Cal will be the coach at Kentucky. That MB is trying to save his own job with this hire. That this is more about winning games than keeping the integrity of the program. That they are willing to hire him no matter what the risk of getting into trouble is. Stuff like that.
-
Man I hate when all these people says things to make me worry. I was sold that he won't get Kentucky in trouble. Now I am not sure. I still think he is the best hire that can be made. Will this always be in the back of our minds? More importantly will this always be in the mind of the NCAA.
-
Memphis can match, and better the money. That won't be the issue.
I don't think it is all about the money now. I think he wants this challenge to leave a legacy behind that he saved Kentucky basketball.
-
No, I'm thinking tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday. The original rumor was Tuesday afternoon, but that was unofficial.
People will have heart failure if it is not til Wednesday. :ohbrother: :thumb:

Or the "Dukes of Hazzard" theme song
I like that one. Just a good ole boy never meaning no harm LOL
-
This is pretty typical at the DI level - especially when a coaching change is involved.
I know it is but still sounds bad imo. I still belive some of it will work itself out. I think there are about 3-5 players on this team that are going to leave for some reason or another.
-
They are prepared, but waiting on the official phone call is my understanding :thumb:
It won't be tonight will it?

Some of the UL talk on here is insane.
I along with any other sane UK fan would have killed to have UL's season this year.
