Yeah, I was very impressed with Wilson tonight. He started out slow, but hit some very clutch buckets in the 3rd quarter...

Boyd won 54-43

Boyd's defense was EXCELLENT in the second half. I think Euton had something like 20 pts, but only scored 7 in the second half.

Selby had 24/15 boards and CD had 16.

There is no way I can pick against Ashland with how good they're currently playing.

Didnt Selby get kicked off the BC football team last season? Isnt he a senior this year anyway?

Yeah, he was kicked off for missing more than three practices.

He's a only a junior btw...

Thats sad that when you take out derogative chants out of Boyd County's Student section, they dont say anything.

I've been to almost every BC game this year and not once have I heard them start a derogative chant.

I think they were afraid to chant anything after the principle and APD came over and told them to keep their mouths shut before the game started...

I don't recall the BPD going over to Ashland student's section and telling them to keep their mouth's shut when they played at Boyd Co.

No Lofton= UK victory.

Hopefully at least.......

The GSA chant was only used once and it was before the game, the administrators told them to stop, and it was not used again.

After Selby made a layup, they chanted "he's still fat."

They did that on multiple occasions last night.

Congrats nevertheless, you all have a solid basketball team!

Did they lose many seniors from last years team ?

Not too many that I know of- Potter, Gatrell, Sargent.

The Boyd Co. student section was asked to move b/c the Ashland administration did not want both student sections standing across from each other. So most of the students just stayed seated where they were until the whole conflict was resolved. They were told not to chant anything derogative and I think that's a big reason of why the student section was quiet the whole night. It's very unfortunate, b/c the Ashland section was chanting some very inappropriate chants, and no one stopped them.

He hit 89 a few times on the stadium gun but was consistently throwing about 87...

Yeah, that pitcher was amazing tonight to say the least. But you also have to give Justin Moore his props because he pitched just as good...

Sounds like you could be correct, but if you move Sturgill to Left, then you have to replace him at Third also.

That's true but you could move Branham to third where he played as a sophomore and someone like Plummer could slide into second base.

Should be interesting to see what Coach Maynard does, though...

Right Field? Venters

First Base? Crisp

Not sure if that's what will happen but I have seen these players in those positions in the past...

Moore pitched all 5 innings, gave up 4 hits, struckout 2 batters.

Boyd Co. takes game one of the series 10-0 in 5 innings.

They had better learn to play as a team real quick because they don't have quite the talent as they have had the past few years. But they do have the potential to be good if they can play as a team, any team does. Hopefully if Evans is the coach he can accomplish this b/c I absolutely hate to see us lose.

Ithink ull be surprised at the talent they actually have and the reason for the lack of a "team" was due to certain distractions that are no longer there and have been taken care of and trust me the team is much closer and more of a true team than they have been in the past few years

I do know I've been watching the practices and so far evans does seem to be giving all the boys a shot at showing what they can do in different positions other than walking on the field and saying "ok, your going to be my superstar this year, don't care if you've ever qb'd or not your it so get ready"

I think the boys will respect a coach that lets them show where their strengths already are instead of trying to make them change to suit the momma does this daddy does that so thier son gets best spot attitude.

Well thats very interesting that u r watching these practices because they do not exsist the only thing going on right now is conditioning and if coach evans is approaching things this way it is because he doesnt know he will be the head coach and he doesnt want to put the team together a certain way only to have it rearranged if someone else happens to get the job and from experience i know the boys will respect the coahces that respect them
